No - it was the guy who replaced Luzon at Standard. Although Luzon had a low opinion of Tony Watt too.
The commentators spoke highly of KAG's performance on Saturday. Maybe he'll come through at last. I'll be surprised if we see too much of TWWW, maybe to start with the odd cameo then fade out altogether. Unless Robinson sorts out whatever it is that's gone wrong.
Think Nick pissed off a few of the players this afternoon I know you don't like him, but he's still one of the better players at the club. If he's happy to stick around for the rest of the season then he increases our play off hopes. If he's not, then sell him and be done with it.
I'm happy with Watt coming back, always gives half a season then turns into a mess attitude, Let him be destructive this 2nd half of the season and then he can become self destructive in summer and get sold
Watts apparently happy to be back and happy to be a part of KR's plans. I'm personally delighted with this.
It was a tough start for him having to play as a target man, which is just not his game. To me he looks unhealthily thin, God knows why, but he doesn't have the strength to hold off a challenge. If we're going to see the TWWW of his first few games it's going to be a long way back. When he tried to play on the shoulder he was fed mostly high hopeful punts, and rarely got the ball to his feet, so I make some allowances for that, but his failure to make any impact on the game apart from one early run was not promising.
https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/15387/tony-watt-time-right-make-charlton-athletic-return/ Seems a bit more humble on the surface, and it looks like it's settled he's here until the summer at least.
He can't play as a lone striker as he doesn't work hard enough. Needs someone like Magennis next to him
what did he do after the first 8 months that made him have to leave? "My first eight months here were brilliant. Something happened that could happen in football and ultimately I had to leave."
At that time there were rumours of a bust up with Luzon that resulted in him being dropped for QPR (I think).
Watt is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. His laughable CV aged 23 backs that up. If he comes back and scores 15 goals I will hold my hands up, but I predict another short term spell with us that ends in tantrums. What does he actually do, apart from a couple of feints per game and dribbles which end in no pass to a team mate ?
There's a lot of focus on his fitness, or lack of it. I just wonder about his general state of health. Something doesn't look right.
i'd sooner see him released so we can play a youngster. (same can be said with ba, sarr, network crap... etc)
