Derby now in advanced talks to sign Tom Lawrence from Leicester. Lawrence has asked to leave. Deal could be £7m+ #dcfc #lcfc

Club must be confident of keeping Riyad Mahrez if they are letting Lawrence go. Shame as I wanted us to give Lawrence a chance

 

If he asked to leave it is most likely didn't give him any assurances of any starts - as he is on the last year of his contract it is fair enough.

Hopefully it will mean that we pull our finger out and get a proper winger - only have Albrighton and Mahrez who's primary position is on the wings.

 

I think Musa will some abit more game time on the left wing

And your forgetting Demarai Gray

 

Shame, I was hoping he'd break through for us.
With him going, Barnes out on loan, Mahrez wanting out and supposed interest in Drinkwater and Gray, I can only assume we have some incomings on the radar

 

Meant primary position on the right wing - we don't have anyone else aside from Albrighton and Mahrez that can play there aside from George Thomas who can to us from Coventry in L1.

 

Really think that if we let him go this could come back to haunt us

 

Good business for all concerned. Won't get a look in this season and can't afford to lose him for free next season.
Hopefully we get a nice sell on clause added in the deal

 

I personally think the transfer window should close a week before the start of the season.
