Yes, he has progressed really well. All credit to the guy. As was said on another thread recently. it was unfortunate for him that we had him and Marshie at the same time. You can only play one keeper at a time and he drew the short straw.
There is a tendency to go for the biggest frame in a goalie, thus filling the target area....Heaton was very agile but smaller. I remember that brilliant penalty save off Gerrard at Wembley. Marshall was no penalty saver.......just stand central Marshy, just stand central Marshy.....ooh.....fug!

I have to agree with you there, i thought Heaton had a far better understanding of a goalkeeper being the first stage in an attack, his shot stopping was decent too and after the United display seems to be at Marshie level now
Don't know why wasn't picked but I'm delighted Marshie didn't play v England. Nothing against Heaton, and I like the guy and I'm pleased he is having a great season but Marshie is the better keeper. Sometimes club managers know best.
