Todays' games 2016/17

I decided to watch the Newcastle/Villa game. Villa have serious problems, when you think what they've spent in trying to get back up. Hogan (who looks like he suffered a bad ankle injury) was lost upfront. Lansbury and Houlihane had shockers. Couldn't help but thinking that was like us, splashing serious dosh on players who weren't up for the ''blood and guts'' of the Championship

 

Seems there was more to the pie-eating than meets the eye. A few of his pals got 8/1 against him doing exactly that.....

Man City getting a lesson in finishing from Monaco who come from behind to lead 2-1...

 

It's a comedy of errors at the Etihad, City level at 2-2 with a shot through the keeper's hands then Monaco retake the lead with a Stones howler letting in Falcao who scores with a brilliant lob, this could end up 5-5...

 

4-3 now to City. One of the most entertaining games I've seen for a long time.

Sevilla gone 1 up against Leicester and Schmichel also saved a penalty earlier.......Going to be tough for Leicester against a very good side, this is a step up from the sides that they played in the Group stages......

Well that worked out rather better for Leicester than it looked like it would after an hour.....at that stage it looked to be a question of how many sevilla would score but what a difference an away goal makes. All to play for in 3 weeks.....

Thanks Fulham for doing us a favour at Bristol City with Matty Taylor firing blanks. I see Tammy Abraham was injured in their last match at Leeds and did not feature tonight.

Burton who picked a hard earned 0-0 point at Derby last night, like us, seem to be clawing their way out of the relegation zone.

 

when the 2nd goal went in against Leicester the camera panned to Simpson. You could see it was hurting and saw him say ''come on''. With that commitment I'm sure they'll be safe from relegation. Got a feeling there is more in the Sevilla tank though and it will see them through into the next round

 

Spuds have it all to do now after conceding an away goal at Wembley, two goals required in the 2nd half...

 

looks like it's just the Manc sides representing England in Europe now. Truth is we are not producing decent footballers
