I agree with those who are defending Random92. I didn't think he was a WUM, just someone with an opinion that differed from some of ours. I can't recall many wums since we've moved to this site and I'm not really keen on the idea of someone being banned quickly. If someone is repeatedly posting with the apparent intent of winding us up, that might be different, but I'm a little worried about how quickly there were calls for an apparent WUM (who turned out not to be one) to be banned. If we have a mod, I would hope he or she would show restraint and only bring out the big guns of banning as a last resort.

In this context, one reason why I still don't want the job is because if someone from another club is being a pain and I challenge them on it, I don't want the label 'moderator' hanging on my post giving off implied threats of this being an official response. I'd rather we dealt with WUMs in the way we always have - with the vast socratic wisdom of the collective taking them to school.

You're too kind, Rocky. And, let's not forget, older than me as well.

I wonder how many other boards talk about Socrates and don't mean the Brazilian player?

I thought socrates was something to do with how quickly the foot-related part of our players' kit wears out.
