    Alexei Mordashov is the Russian so Mordy should be him. 29th richest in the world with 18.5 billion dollars 23 places behind the Mittels (31 billion).
    Is this a guess or another source which we seem to have many of on here?

    On 606, Cerny Berny had a better record than most, as I recall. Perhaps it's my wishful thinking which makes me hope he's right this time. I'd rather have almost anyone other than Flabio and the Midget, although I'd very much prefer the Mittals: I think they proved themselves last season as keen but prudent supporters.

    Cerny, I hope you are right. Smudge seems to think it is complete rubbsih though after making some calls over the last few days. Surely he would at least get a sniff of this if it were true?

    He doesnt seem that interested in football,just found this quote from him ..“Building companies involves creating great wealth. If that means I am an oligarch, OK, it’s fine. But if being an oligarch is about buying football clubs, it is not for me.” ...mmmm not so sure about this rumour.

    It maybe he's Mittal's 'agent', buy out the Goons cheaper and pass it on for an 'arrangement fee', they are both in the same line of business so there's plenty of scope for backscratching...

    Presumably the theory is the Russian buys out the Goons, and the Mittals keep their minority interest. Perhaps it's the Russian that want Tarbs kept ...no, now I'm getting carried away with this whole story! Cerny if this proves to be false, your name will go down with JKRowlands' for great works of fiction!

    Alexei Mordashov did his degree at Northumberland, is said to have attended NUFC games in so doing and became a fan of the Toon...

    Speculation over him buying Ashley out earlier this year, then there are the comments about him not being interested in buying a club...
