Yes, the first five games in August do look tough and should be a reality check of our teams performance.

Even if we allow for some variability in the overall quality of the league, the Norwich away game is a direct benchmark to our last game of the season. Let's see how we perform and let's pray for an improvement! As they say, it is the hope that kills you! :)

August 2017 is going to be somewhat difficult is an understatement. Otherwise, we could be well on our way to promotion.

Guidelines published by the EFL and Sky Sports ...

QPR fans who want to know when 2017/18 Championship fixture changes are likely to be announced by, mainly due to TV coverage, should note the following – as released by the EFL and Sky Sports.

Live game selections for the opening weekend have already been made and do not include the Hoops' fixture at home to Reading, so this match will remain on Saturday 5th August 2017.

Sky will be selecting their live games for the remainder of August by June 28th, and thereafter matches will be selected as follows:
    • September – By July 14th
    • October to November 11th – By August 25th
    • November 18th to December 9th – By September 29th
    • December 16th to January 13th – By November 3rd
    • January 20th to February 3rd – By December 8th
    • February 10th to March 3rd – By December 29th
    • March 10th to March 31st – By January 19th
    • April/May – Announced on a rolling five-week basis
    • Final day – Following completion of the penultimate round of fixtures
Please note, this is a guideline only. There may be occasions where individual live TV match announcements fall outside of the periods stated.

Why do people think August will be difficult? We have no idea how teams will perform yet. Let's wait and see and let's be positive.

I think it's because we are pretty ****. But you're right, no one knows yet what kind of squad we - or anyone else - will have come August.
