You have to be joking, there´s nothing much ´great´ about Britain anymore. I stopped being proud of being English years ago. I´m 9½ tenths Viking, now that is something to be proud of.

Yes , I´m sure you are KIO, but if you had left the country by choice in your 20´s, spent the whole of your working life, and the last 42-odd years in a country other than England, you might also have built up an affiliation with that country, too. Naturally I can´t deny my roots, but that doesn´t necessarily mean that I should be proud of them, I´ve been fortunate enough to have seen how one of the other halves lives, and England just doesn´t begin to compare. Each to his own.

Either Cromer was too young or has simply forgotten what dire state the public services were in back in the 1970s under Sunny Jim's Labour Government! We are part of NATO which basically means USA . Obama just gave Iran the plutonium by the way. I would put my trust in NATO to nuke Korea or anyone else for us if necessary.
