Well Northenders we finally got a win. Well desreved by all accounts and the score line could have been greater. Thirteen games without a win so game no 13 was lucky for some. The some being the PNE support who have been waiting for what seems an eternity. PB walked into Deepdale and was met by a complete loss of confidence by the playing staff, and also had to take urgent action to compensate for SAF throwing his rattle out of the pram and taking the United Lonee's back. PB also had to address the obvious lack of tactical awareness that had creeped in under the management of DF. PNE have undoubtedly improved under PB and have had all the top teams in the division to play, PNE had not beaten them but had come very close and have of late not been playing like a team riveted to the bottom of the League. It is surely too late to save our Championship status, but there is still a chance be it a very small one and while there is still a chance there is hope. PNE need to win again on Saturday and on last nights performance can gain all three points. Last night's game was so important and we got the win in emphatic style, no getting carried away so let's all hope that PNE can reproduce last night's performance next game.
Back to back wins would be nice and would certainly put a few more clubs under pressure. Also felt last night that it was a game that needed to be won and we won easily. Stranger things have happened plumber don't rule us out just yet
Quite correct Lad, as the saying goes football's a funny old game. We have to remember that Horton has been involved in a very similar position before, and pulled off the great escape. I hope that the supporters can give the team a massive lift of Saturday. And the team responds accordingly.
Agreed. It's amazing how those three points have given a little glimmer of hope. Tuesday morning I believed we were doomed whether we won or lost, couldn't actually see where the next win was coming from. 24 hours later and I really believe we can make a real go of it. PB and BH have done a magnificent job of turning the mentality of the players around in recent games, and although we hadn't got that elusive win until Tuesday night, we've been a match for anybody. Bring on Coventry!
Evenig Lad.. Maybe having a look at this link below can keep the spirits raised and prepare us for Saturday. http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/man_city/6215/flashback_six_m.html TFP
You never know Plumber, our local rivals won 10 games on the bounce to get to the play offs a few seasons ago. If we get number 2 on Saturday then who knows, however my worry is that we have a Saturday without a game due to England's match willk momentum be lost. We've a chance a slim one at that but there's 30 points up for grabs and maybe 21 will do
