The slow ones that are annoying/dangerous are the ones with a massive queue behind them that ignore the several laybys they've driven past at 20mph below the limit, but the second someone tries to overtake them on a straight bit of road decide they want to go 10mph faster than the limit just to stop them, effectively hanging the overtaking car out to dry* if anything comes round the bend that was way off when they started the manouvere.

If people want to drive at a lower speed than the limit that's their choice (or they're in a vehicle with a lower limit than a car in a national limit), but they can also show consideration to other road users by letting them past at suitable places. It's not difficult to pull into a layby to let a queue past (there's actually signs on some roads up here instructing drivers to do this to help prevent accidents), or coming onto a straight bit with no oncoming traffic to not accelerate and indicate left (when there are no left turns coming up) so vehicles behind know it's clear and they should go past you. I do it if I've got the trailer, or I'm in a van on a national speed limit road with average speed cameras (even your Ford Transits are supposed to do 10mph less than cars unless it's a motorway). It's not like you don't know they want to go faster than you, they caught up to you in the first place so clearly if you get out the way they'll drive off.

*Admittedly I've done this once, but that was more about stopping someone who'd been doing 90 and weaving in and out of traffic from driving into the side of me as they tried to overtake me into the single lane exit of a roundabout

People who say 'everyone did or said something ' when only some did, some said or did nowt and others said or did the opposite (usually). Why do they do it; is it to big themselves up?

Welcome to the fold; it's getting a tad cramped in here, though. <cheers>

i used to know a lass who did that and exaggerated hugely. she'd be telling me about something funny and she'd say " we all howled with laughter..." and she had this weird habit of using the word "gorgeous" about no end of unsuitable people. i assumed she was using it about their personalities because there's no way in the universe it applied to their looks.

If people still can't get the name right of the person who set up the most important goal in our history there is no chance of getting his right.

It is indeed remarkable how people can't get a simple name right, Ken.

Yesterday I was looking through a thread from December last year. Patty, every second post on that thread from you was claiming people were panty wetting. You need to up your game friend, you're becoming boring and repetitive.
