OK, "gambling again" but the perceptions of the bookies toward the Championship relegation candidates is interesting to say the least. Just had a look to see what odds we were on for going down and saw we were still a relatively mean 9/2. What surprised me was that they are offering a very generous 40/1 against the Wurzels suffering the same fate. Now don't get me wrong, but the way I'm looking at it is that we appear to be on the way up the table (at the moment anyway!) but the Wurzels have been dropping like a stone recently. When we played them earlier in the season they were top 6 and 11 points ahead, now they're are only 4 points above us - and that's nothing at this stage of the season. They appeared to have a good setup accross there at the start of the season and did really well, but now I don't understand the relegation odds differential between the two clubs. Warnock is a manager I don't expect to allow his team to be relegated but I can't say the same for the relatively inexperienced Johnson. Nothing personal to them and I really wish them all the best in the normal scheme of things, but I thought that was a little flutter that may be worthwhile - I've just put a fiver at 40/1 on the Wurzles for the trap door. Let's see how that goes.
You coud be right there Dai.......... Newport have got an awful lot to do and if Healey does come back from them, they'll need another frontman to replace him - Gounongbe......
The Championship is as unpredictable as ever. Huddersfield were miles ahead at one point, then went into a nosedive, but they are back on track again. The Xmas period usually throws up some crackers, I'm so looking forward to it. Merry Xmas to you all on this Forum, and a lucky, prosperous, 2017.
The same to you Vetchand many of 'em. As far as the prosperous New Year is concerned, if the Wurzels go down and Leeds go up, I'll only want one other leg of my double to be really quids in..........
Nah Bluey - the 5 quid Wurzel relegation bet is a stand alone done last week @ 40/1 The double is 2 quid on Leeds under Monk going up to the Prem and someone else (not under Monk) coming down...................
And there was me trying to be nice at Christmas. I actually placed a bet on The Swans' going down. That was after third match of the season. There's a distinct relegation odour emanating from Landore. It was never thus when I lived there.
They extended his contract until 2020 just before their last 3 games - they've lost all 3............. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38257893
