because there has not been a specific thread i want one i want to look at it every time i think of how big this club could have been... go ahead
Brilliant idea and can all the anti Allam stuff that gets into every other bloody thread go in here please! I don't like the Allams and wish they were gone but when I visit a thread called 'City transfer news' (or lack of) thats what i want to read about, not endless bickering about who's more pro or anti Allam.
Allam and his empty threat to build a new ground makes me think of Trump and his wall with Mexico. Though Allam never said "we're gonna build a new ground and make Hull city council pay for it."
When I visit a thread about what the Allams have messed up I don't want to read people bickering about people who bicker about the Allams.
Lifted off Twitter, don't know who to credit but if you're out there you deserve some. EDIT: Pete at Tigerlink, consider yourself credited. Excellent effort.
That's a good start but we should add - promise to sell in 24 hours, then there are all the #Allam Quotes as highlighted by HCST some time ago - such as 'we do not believe in constantly raising prices is a long-term option' Eham Allam 2014 (before increasing kids prices from £56 per season in 2013 to £570 in 2016). I am sure there are dozens more like that. Then there is the closure of the Upper West Stand, the constant evictions of fans from their preferred areas and their absolute hatred of Hull City fans in general. But as some fans pointed out rather well on a banner at the pre-season match at Scunny last year - 'Allams - You will NOT win this war'. It may well be that there will be nothing left of the club before they deliberately dismantle what is left and finally leave - but I still believe those fans are right!
Making the mistake of stepping in when they should have left us to go into administration so one of the others waiting could have stepped in then ensured we'd have more success than we've had.
It may or may not have meant administration at that time (I suspect not but we will never really know) but if given the choice and with the benefit of hindsight I'd certainly have taken administration rather than the years of Allam's ownership and the misery and division they have created ever since and so many fans being driven away possibly never to return and with so many kids now unable to afford to attend a match and become future fans.
The word "****" is now an official word in the English language. Future editions of the Oxford English Dictionary will illustrate the plural of this with this helpful and highly accurate picture. It will also link to another recent addition, the word "****" and its present participial "****ing".
