    Middlesbrough Man makes a very telling point though - we are in freefall. Our final six fixtures are almost the stuff of nightmares, and if we can't get maximum points in our next three home games - Sunderland, West Brom and Swansea - then I suspect we will be waving goodbye to not only WM, but also the Premiership.

    I think we will be lucky that the bottom 3 are pretty poor - Hull have had their bounce, Middlesbrough can't score at all, and Sunderland would be gone already if not for Defoe. It is certainly in our own hands with the next 3 home games, and would be wanting 7 points from them, which I think should see us safe. If Sunderland beat us this weekend, I would certainly be worried

    Finishing 17th is not inconceivable right now....
