In the end, the only thing which matters is the final score. I have followed baseball, hockey, and American football all my life, and English football (soccer) for almost a decade. I find the latter no different than the others, that sometimes the team which plays the best still loses the contest. Such is the way of sport; chance plays a significant role in the outcome. But chance, or luck by another name, is a byproduct of hard work and preparation, such that over the course of an entire season the luck (chance) will favor the better team more often than not. Then there is the point of lousy officiating/refereeing . . .
So how's this looking now? This was a good point - getting a nice three point gap some how makes the gap seem more secure. I really thought we could have won today though. I've just had a go at predicting - I think we absolutely need wins from Man Utd and Everton vs. Swansea (ideally big ones). This is going to be tight...

We'll need something from the last game, Swans will turn over WBA no problem, it's an absolute wheel barrow job for any punter.
The green and yellows surely can't get beaten at home tomorrow can they? Interesting that next weekend we kick off at 3 and swansea at 5.30. We could in theory be 6 points ahead of them by that time. Then their anal sphincters might be tightening and loosening rapidly and no end of Leon Britton dishing out swansea great escape dvd's will sort that out.
Seems like Palace have tools downed and have gone all beachy head a couple of games ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, this might mean we face a Big Fat Stan still needing a home win to be double sure, or a Big Fat Man hungry for a home win for the sake of the fans (after putting in a **** shift v a team even worse away than us). And on top of all that, it snuffs out the remote chance of Burnley being dragged into the dog ****.
It's the most inevitable result of all time, so much so they might aswell add the 3 points to Swansea's tally now.
Palace, considering how much they were in the **** a month or so ago, really seem determined to make things as hard as possible for us, don't they. I can't remember the last time a team produced so many results completely to the detriment of another team - wins and losses.
Not as bad as in our game, but he's ****, yeah... I'm not the aggressive type, but he's got a seriously punchable face.
