There's been very few suggestions for a viable and available replacement from the Puel outers. Given the circumstances and results another season definitely.
Silva. It would be a risk (as would pretty much anyone), but it's a viable choice. I went for undecided because, well, I am undecided about CP, so as a result I think he should be given another season. But, as I said to Fats recently, were we to replace him with Silva, I wouldn't be terribly upset (in fact I'd be quite excited).
Marco Silva would be pretty high on my list, as he appears to be on the lists of others. Roger Schmidt also became available pretty recently, he might be considered a risk because Bayer Leverkusen was having a miserable season, but Leverkusen has been even worse since his departure, so it might not have all been on his shoulders. He did oversee two CL seasons in a row (which isn't terribly uncommon for Leverkusen) and took Atletico Madrid to penalties in the first knockout round a year ago followed by a QF appearance this season, and his pressing style isn't wholly dissimilar to what Leicester deployed last season. As we're not short of pace up front these days, it might be a good fit.
You've forgotten the Saints rule...any new manager is usually someone you have never heard of. Why 3 votes allowed?
That was what Godders chose Fran, and due to the strange way this website works it can't be reduced, only increased!
[QUOTE="fran-MLs little camera, post: 10494186, member: 1005831 Why 3 votes allowed?[/QUOTE] So you can vote for all 3 and claim you were right whatever happens? I wonder how many that criticised Poch and Ron's lack of loyalty are now calling for Claude to be sacked and/or enviously eyeing up other teams managers?
I thought we were voting on Godders' future so I chose: I have been disappointed with him and think we need to replace him.
I'm still upset that I'm going to be replaced by some Portuguese chap who until Saturday had never even been to St Mary's.... bloody plastics.
Like Brexit what ever way the vote goes I will go along with it even if I don't agree with it, apparently that is the democratic way.
Are you all trying to wind me up? If Les leaves and new owners come in, will we see a total change in our style and plan....just as we've all got smug about it.
Considering what has happened to your squad when a manager has left the last few years I'd think you'd want to keep him. From my point of view as a neutral, when you consider everything, he hasn't done that badly. You still have a decent chance of top 8 (though the same could be said for everyone down to 16th) and qualification to the 'ropey league.
If the top 6 stay as they are and Man U win the uefa cup and Q for CL and le Arse' win the Fa cup, 8th would be enough then, wouldn't it?
