We play Spurs shortly and all the hype seems to be about this. However, it appears that they have forgotten that there is a game before that. Is this an instance of lost focus for them? Harry Kane is already bleating on about derailing Chelsea's title ambitions. From what I have read here on the boards, we all seem to be fairly focused on our match against Stoke. One match a time seems to be doing the team good and Conte seems to have everyone ticking over nicely. Could Spurs have already lost their next match against us?
There's no doubt the extra-special one will be keeping all minds focused on the Stoke match at the Bridge. It's the way he does things and quite right too. When this is over, the trip to what we used to call "Three point Lane" will be a very special event. There will of course be the 3 points, which is the must have in every game we play, but this 3 points on offer will be the one that sees us equal a Prem record. It sure cannot be considered a guaranteed 3 points anymore however great we have been this season! For me and I suspect for many of my fellow blues, this 90 minutes is going to be very stressful entertainment. Mr.Conte you are about to become a God!
Not thinking about this yet. Crucial we get 3 points against Stoke as it's a very winnable game and City play Liverpool in this round of fixtures. That could leave us in a very good position come the game with Spurs. I can understand Spurs being so focused on it though given we derailed their title bid last year. Lets see if their players can deal with the occasion.
Spurs talk a good game (see HAIG for details) the best they'll get is a point imo, can't see them winning.
To be fair to Kane he was probably responding to a question asking about all the up coming games. He would of been pressed to comment on the Chelsea game.
the Spurs game is a 50/50 game; especially at the lane where our recent record is not that great. 4 points from the next 2 would be very acceptable.
Is this the same Kane who talked of ending Leicester's title ambitions last season? How'd that work out?
