Yep, hopefully his ambition will get in the way again.

 

Of all the people who have left, he is the one I dislike the most. I can't stand hypocrites, two-faced ****ers. We knew he wouldn't be here for too long, but considering how much he said he had principles and that he would stay the full length really really pisses me off. Oh well, he never got to Wembley. Although we lost, the whole experience of that day and the celebrations of the goals were more than I ever celebrated in the koeman era.

 

I loved the bit right at the bottom of that article recounting the fact that an executive at one football league club who admired their red first team strip and then asked....couldn't we use it as the away strip as well?

 

Those West Ham misses are up there with our misses at home to Swansea.

 

Wenger's comments to Radio 5, post-match were interesting earlier today [oops, I mean yesterday]. In answer to his team's abject failure to compete with WBA, he said that he was disappointed that his team didn't make more productive use of their 77% possession. That was the gist of it anyway, and the subject turned to his decision to leave or not. What struck me was his apparent disregard of his team's lack of ability to stop WBA making the very most of their 23% possession. And this was before I'd even seen a minute of action. This is where I think Wenger is so out of date. Several posters have mentioned how much football on the pitch has changed in the last 10, or even 5 years, and Wenger hasn't changed with it. In possession, his teams still want to walk the ball into the net. Only Sanchez seems to think from the box of the last 5 years. But, out of possession, It was glaring with Wenger's team being so open and content not to press the opposition. Admittedly, WBA often kapowed the ball out of defence, on the counter, bypassing any potential press anyway, but Arsenal were so slack in every department, without the ball, that they had no answer. And Wenger has a defence coach sat right next to him, i.e. someone who concentrates on what is needed when Arsenal don't have the ball. I can only assume the players are no longer listening to Bould and Wenger.

 

What a tremendous word!! So figurative to describe Albion`style of play on the day, that it would be difficult to replace it with an ordinary word.

Good striker by Lingard but he is still so average. Should be no where near the England squad, only reason people rate him is because he plays for United. In my eyes he is another Januzaj, his career will fade and he will end up being average. Still remember debating with people on here about whether Januzaj was over rated, looks to be showing he is nothing special this season.

Lingard may not play for England next week after all, done his ankle by the looks of it.
