http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40952796 Interesting BBC reporters comments from the Charlottesville March and linked events last weekend - pretty much calling out Trump on his public pronouncements. Nothing we probably didn't know or had guessed already, but interesting nonetheless. As even both Bush's publicly distance themselves and his Business Forum falls flat on its face with the resignations of several 'grandstanding' CEO's, Trump ploughs on merrily. FFS, somebody hurry up and do something to rid us of this disgusting moron!!
Except she was strangely reluctant to say anything bad about Trump. This is the same person who was only too eager to talk about that non-story involving ****ing Easter eggs.
All my life I have been vehemently against the death sentence. That was until..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-40960346 Cocky little prick
Thought exactly the same. Could barely believe his attitude. In the absence of the ultimate punishment we can just hope that the Judge and jury take a similar view and he gets the longest sentence possible. Cannot imagine life inside as a cocky young bit of meat will be particularly pleasant!!
For every pr*ck like him, there is a very careful and courteous cyclist who will get killed by his vehicular counterpart. WTF was he doing riding any bike that has no full set of brakes in London ??
Whilst denying it in face of the evidence of his previous online posts, it appears to have been some deranged adrenaline rush! ****ing twat dismantled them himself. Then shouted obscenities at his poor victim as she lay dying in the ground in front of him. Sounds almost psychopathic.
One thing that's not been made clear in the reports is whether or not he went blazing through a set of red lights like approximately 86% of cyclists in London do on a daily basis.
Not defending this prick, as he's clearly a complete twat, but Old Street roundabout's a bloody deathtrap. I once passed it when it had been cordoned off by the police and they'd kept a cement mixer there because of it's involvement. It had hit two cyclists and they weren't even that close together. It's a constant site for accidents.
A pedestrian being killed by a pedal cyclist must be a very rare event. Without knowing all the facts, it's difficult to envisage what happened here, but a death is always going to result in a prosecution. An eye for an eye. I used to be a keen cyclist, but got fed up with idiot drivers who had a complete disregard for you and idiot pedestrians who similarly had a complete disregard and thought it was OK to step out in front of a bike approaching them at 25 mph. And this was on roads far less busy than those in London. Cyclists get a raw deal from other road users. Motorists accept pedestrians and vice versa. Cyclists seem to aggravate both - welcome neither on roads nor pavements, paths, bridlepaths etc. I used to go on canal banks, as we have a lot of those locally, but pedestrians didn't like that and seemed to take satisfaction from obstructing your path. So I gave it up. I don't know all the facts, but I can understand why a cyclist might feel chippy and defensive.
Terrorist attack in Barcelona tonight. A van driven into a crowd of people on Las Ramblas. 13 dead and many injured. ISIS claim responsibility.

And so it continues with a 2nd attack in Canbrils...... Thoughts and prayers for all victims. I lived and worked there for a few years and Barcelona is such a multicultural melting-pot, the only surprise in some ways is that this beautiful city has 'escaped' from the actions of these maniacs for so long. At least it seems that the majority of the attackers have been either caught or otherwise dealt with.
It's a sign of how numb we are becoming to these that there is a lack of response. I remember when this would have had it's own thread by now. I wish the best for anyone caught up in this.
This one went under the radar (I have friends in HK who have been informing me over the months that things were likely to play out as they have) . www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-40957422
