This is a shameless, dangerous and desperate grasp to retain power and will have serious consequences. Not least to undermine security in Ulster, but both Scottish and Welsh assemblies will be demanding parity. Government apologists are already spouting the **** that it's the brilliant state of the economy that allows for increased investment in health, avoiding mentioning where this £1.5bn is actually headed.... funny that - they were spouting a completely different message when asked to increase NHS salaries during the election!!! ****wits!!
Morals and politics have never been synonymous. This is, unfortunately, yet a further demonstration of that fact.
True, but has their ever been a British government so completely lacking in any morals, principles, ethics or values? Their willingness to overlook some of the DUP's unsavoury connections (particularly in light of their recent condemnation of terrorist violence) and their equally unsavoury social policies is evidence of that. As is their hypocrisy in suddenly being able to find substantial funds for one small community (Northern Ireland) when every other needy cause gets sent packing.
The deal with the DUP is already causing trouble. Gerry Adams has stated that it puts the Good Friday Agreement in jeopardy. That's just the start. Did anyone think selling out to the DUP was ever going to be a good idea? They still haven't moved on from a battle in 1690 in Northern Ireland. Accommodating and conciliatory they ain't.
Speaking of bigots, it seems that Britain First has indulged in a little bit of plagiarism. They nicked a whole article from Joe.co.uk, which probably isn't that surprising. The problem? They failed to realise that it was satire. Of them: https://www.joe.co.uk/politics/sati...tter&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=onsite_share Here's the original: https://www.joe.co.uk/politics/jere...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer "One attend would’ve equalled one respect."
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jun/28/time-magazinetrump-fake-covers-golf-clubs Trump's mentor was Roy Cohn, who was the brains behind McCarthyism. McCarthyism's death blow IMO was the question: "Have you no sense of decency sir?" That rhetorical question needs to be asked again.
That seems to be very true, and if so, that's very sad, since it means Americans have gotten significantly worse in 65 years.
They should be paying me royalties then, because I invented plagiarism (alright, I copied the concept from some bloke) .
"While the money is there when the Conservatives need it to keep themselves in office, the rest of the country now face more devastating cuts to our emergency and other vital services." - Jeremy Corbyn "This evening, the DUP have stood alongside their Tory paymasters cheering at the fact that they have withheld more pay for our police, our firefighters, our nurses and our teachers. Shame on them." - Tim Farron The Tory response? Exactly what you would expect...
People that disagree with the Tories don't deserve a voice, apparently. It's a good job that they're not talking about censoring the internet, isn't it? Oh, wait...
They're being told that he's doing great and that anyone who disagrees is an un-American piece of ****. The right-wing in the US created their own media, as balanced reporting was incredibly damaging to them. That's what Fox is. That's what Murdoch does. The Republican party has staked a claim to a bunch of single-issue voters and propped that base up with bullshit. They're actually anarcho-capitalists, but they pose as the party of God, the family, the military and law & order. That they still stand behind Trump, who ****s upon each of those in turn, reveals the obvious, ugly lie. The ongoing Russia issue will drag and drag, because the party in charge simply don't care. They couldn't give a crap about democracy or whether the country's been attacked, as they're in power. They get to drive through as many crap things as possible until things crash to a halt. That's enough. The sad thing is that they can't even do that properly.
Sheryll Murray, Tory MP for South East Cornwall (and repeat offender when it comes to spelling names properly) wants this video purged from the internet By complete coincidence, for the second time in the space of a month a video showing Sheryll Murray saying food banks are wonderful and how we should just ignore anyone who disagrees with her has gone viral.
He's at it again......... Trump mocks TV host Mika Brzezinski's 'bleeding facelift' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40438214
