Because they added CGI ghosts from 1-3 whereas the original had Yoda, bald Darth Vader and old Obi Wan. A lot of the digitally edited scenes in the late 90s/early 2000s were pointless or just made it worse.

 

The original return of jedi film had obi wan and oya and darth vader proper from film as ghosts. I am not sure if they were in the original then.... were they?

I know the "latest" edition changed the old fella who was in the vader suit with the awful hayden christensen.

IMO the first 3 need an urgent remake to scurb the pukey smell of lucas off them.

 

Having watched those 3 it does really reflect on what a **** sequel a force awakens is. It's pretty much just a re-hash of 4 but with plot holes everywhere. I know 1-3 people say was awful, but how can people just instantly like 7 just because it was 'better' than 1,2,3.

My thoughts exactly. Tempted to see Rogue One though. Sounds a lot better.

 

in fairness

a) it was "feel good"

b) it has no stupid kids

c) it had no jar jar binks

so basically it was well received cos the prior 3 were SO bad that their was entire gneerations hoping for any movie.

 

Yeah that ghost malarkey got fecked up with the explanation given in prequels.

That it was a technique to learn ...which doesn't explain how anakin old or young knew how to do it at end of 6....

 

yup. nor how in no iii it is explained that qui jon somehow returns from the dead to yoda but not to obi wan and teaches the technique to yoda.... from nowhere... like he was dead like.

so yeah its a complete hole in the whole plot. George lucas put so little effort into the details in the first 3 movies that it was SINFUL and just about ruined the franchise. Luckily Disney bought it up and lego star wars is here now <erm>

 

One of the prequels was OK if I recall correctly (better than 7 imo). I don't recall if it was 2 or 3 because prequels are a bit of a blur to me... Only watched them each once and that was a while ago.

Rogue One was alright but honestly, I think they should leave Star wars alone for another decade or come up with something fresh. It feels pretty samey and stale to me now.

It's like the superhero movies... Some of them were OK when they weren't on all the time. Nowadays there are to many, there are no new ideas and they're all crap. They need to take a break from superhero flicks for a decade and then come at it fresh.

 

well it can't have been 2 as it was bloody awful. 3 maybe.

 

Rogue one was awesome. Connected the dots smoothed over how **** Vader was at the end of revenge of the sith. Was a great stand alone movie.

Watched deadpool last night. Enjoyed it.

Just finished watching the fall.

Considering starting the walking dead. Need to finish shooter.

Any good films to watch would be appreciated.

They're all still a camcorder in the cinema though. I want to watch arrival on kodi. Passengers has been slated. Though it has spaceships in so will watch. What feeds you watching these on on kodi?

Just streaming sites until I get a firestick (went overboard on the abc's over the festivities so living on bread hash and pot noodles til payday) passengers is deffo a one watch kind of film, arrival is really good, leaves you thinking all kinds after which is good.
Why him, was funny as **** when I watched it yesterday but I was high as a government monkey and I think James Franco is funny anyway.
