So Reading V Huddersfield set for the play off final.

Huddersfield have never been in the Premier League.
Would be nice to see a new team grace the league, but I have said all along, i cannot see past Reading winning it.
They have been remarkably consistent, yet mediocre, all season, but they just keep finding ways through to victory.

It's a one off game so anything can happen, but i still fancy Reading. Jaap has whipped them into shape, a dull shape, but a shape nonetheless.
No one expected them to get 3rd place at the start of the season, hardly anyone even had them tipped to get in the play offs full stop.

Huddersfield would have to re-invest massively. They have five important loan players. Wagner's style is admirable but maybe a bit naive if he doesn't adapt it. Then again it worked for Bournemouth.

Reading would bore everyone to tears.

Klopps mate and our reserve keeper Danny Ward into the final so I'm hoping they can make it.

Reading are a club that reminds me of beige, a dull as **** nothing club, and another Southern away.

I want Huddersfield and have from the off, a semi local 'away' for me :)

Of the two I would prefer Huddersfield too tbh.
Always nice to see a new team that has never been in the PL come up, and its been such a long time since we have had a new team and not just the Yo-Yo clubs coming and going (Newcastle, West Ham, Boro, Sunderland, Norwich, etc.)
To have Brighton and Huddersfield would be cool.

But.....if I was a betting man (which I am :D), it would be on Reading. They have been consistently grinding results all season.

Reading for me, they've got the pedigree and Yip Jaap Stam so I'll take them over another boring fairytale.

I remember the buzz about Blackpool coming up, soon turned to tears when we had to endure ****nugget Holloway every day on SSN "We're just little old Blackpool, nobody expected us to get a point all season"... just hoping one day to tune in to find him hanging by a length of rope.

I'm not so sure, I think Huddersfield could do it, providing they don't freeze on the big stage

At the end of the day, its a one off game, so anything can happen.
Current bookies odds have huddersfield as slight favourites

    Huddersfield 17/12
    Reading 36/17

In their two league games Reading won 1-0 at the Madejski and Huddersfield won 1-0 at the Smith Stadium.
There was only 4 points difference in their league standings Reading 3rd with 85 points, Huddersfield 5th with 81.
    So should be tight, theoretically.

Worth mentioning the league 2 play offs. Both ties 5-5 on aggregate and heading to extra time, 94th min winner in one game and 95th min winner in the other and both end 6-5!

Just shows the pressure on teams to get in the PL.
Its a much more nervous affair as there is so much at stake.

Incredible night in the playoffs. Exeter (my most local team) scored a last minute goal to get to the final too <ok>

It's where I now live, have done for 20 odd years.

I've no problem with it, they support their local team which I believe you should. I bought the ST's before the season ended, could easily have been for championship games.

As it goes I'm taking my eldest to his first United game on Sunday. I'm gutted for him what Mourinho has done these last few weeks, effectively ending the league season early and, frankly, given up.

Hopefully they'll actually play well on Sunday and try to put on a show. Paying customers are having the piss taken out of them by that bloke.

I got my tickets for **** all but still!!
