Was certainly worthy of matching Alonso's score. Outqualified him and held him off in the race for a while. Does seem a bit harsh. edit : Di Resta & Sutil both given 8. Oh ****........ watch the forum implode on itself..................

Vettel: 7 - About right.. Webber: 6 - About right, poor start but came back as best he could. Alonso: 8 - About right.. Massa: 7 - Agree, harsh, no worse than his team mate if you ask me! Button: 8 - Started 10th bought it home 9th, car isn't great but an 8? Generous is you ask me... Perez: 7 - About right.. Kimi: 9 - Spot on! Grosjean: 5 - Harsh, he should get 11 for not hitting anyone! Rosberg: 7 - About right Hamilton: 9 - Too high, didn't do anything wrong, drove a solid race, qualified well, a solid 8 Hulk: 7 (?) - 7? How, these are "Race" ratings, the boy didn't even start, should be a NA here! Gutierrez: 6 - About right di Resta: 8 - I know I'm not his biggest fan, and he may have some issues but the same mark as his team mate, NO WAY! 7 at best. Sutil: 8 - About right Maldonado: 3 - 3 is very generous, such a mistake from a GP winner is not acceptable! Bottas: 7 - Well done that man, NOTE to Maldonado, Bottas isn't Senna (and I liked Senna!) Vergne: 6 - About right Ricciardo: 4 - Harsh, didn't he suffer car damage early on that effected his pace, not his fault. Pic: 6 - About right Van der Garbadge: 6 - Bianchi: 8 - Plenty of promise from the lad... Chilton: 7 - Nothing wrong in his debut, keep it going lad.
'Official' scores such as these, from some self-appointed or perceived authority, are, in my opinion, no more valuable than those emerging as some average in a decent forum. In fact, since they are more likely to be the result of the whims of an individual, it might well be argued that they are actually less valid than this forum's collective opinion! This is why I'm interested in fora.
That was a mistype by me, should say 8 and as always these are by Edd Straw rather than a concusses of Autosport employees.
I'd like them to have a Papal Conclave before every race by the way. What a blinding stat that was from Crofty.
He is destined for greatness though as he follows in the footsteps of the might Alonso
Fair do's (will consider taking back that "Thanks" though, mis-information like this must not be tolerated )
I thought something went wrong with the car that caused him to beach it... But having seen that clip now, he too went too wide, got in on the grass during breaking and made a school boy error, I'll take back the Maldonado comments... But still, neither of them should have done that!
Edd Straw has a habit of giving backmarkers a 6, I lost count of how many times De La Rosa thrashed Karthikeyan last year but ended up with the same rating (6/10). I guess he can't be bothered to put any serious effort into producing content that people are PAYING TO READ. With that said, it's really surprising to see Chilton get a 7 for his mediocre performance. Some of the other ratings are far worse though (di Resta an 8, wtf?)
I think it's about time we actually have our own rating thread, after each race we simply rate all drivers and then work out the averages and just say how much better we are than Autosport
I think the worst ratings there are Bianci and Chilton. Bianchi wiped the floor with him and only got one point more, should be at least 3 or 4 marks higher. I think Alonso was better than Massa, he left Massa once he leapfrogged him in the pits. And Massa only qualified 3/1000ths faster running later on an evolving track. I thought Vettel should've had an 8, his drive was as solid as Alonso and Hamilton's in my opinion. di Resta should've been a 7.
