Fair play to Celtic fans yesterday for this food bank collection. In the words of the club's founder, Brother Walfrid, "A football club will be formed for the maintenance of dinner tables." A pity the UK government couldn't be as well-intentioned...
Bearing in mind that Hull have won 5 and drawn 2 from their last 7 home games it doesn't look unlikely that they will achieve that - particularly if Spurs have nothing to play for in the last match.
If we beat Swansea next week we are safe so Hull might hope to beat us... But it will be a pressure game for them .
I suspect that we're already safe. Sunderland and Boro both look to be as good as down - Sunderland too far behind now & Boro with the run in from hell - and both West Ham & Crystal Palace have difficult run ins too. Swansea need 10 points to overhaul us (as well as us losing all our remaining fixtures) - they should beat Sunderland and could beat us, but it's hard to see where the other 4 will come from.
Sunderland's Larsson sent off for a bad tackle on Mkhitaryan - WBA's Dawson must be laughing his head off right now as his tackle on Holebas was far worse for no punishment.
Yup - and a good chance we'll still be there this time next week after beating Swansea. Then the rot will set in though - some hard fixtures coming up, Liverpool, Leicester, Everton and Man City. Although I can see us possibly getting a draw at Leicester, and possibly at Hull.
Our favourite Frenchmen named Championship player of the year. TBF He has done well in a very good Brighton side.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39548007 See one of our boys has made a sneaky comment in there referring to that game! Bit worried that some of the comments below proves people don't read articles though ("Dele Ali should have won"!)
Surprised Big Sam tonight does it again. And does it in style. At home to Hull and Burnley I wouldn't bet against their survival. As for me still smarting after the weekend. After the 0-4 my 2nd team managed to get back to 1-1 only to lose a man to a straight red. Never seen such a blatant kick at a players leg in my life. We hung on despite playing against a wind. Yes Cadiz is a windy place but this was crazy. Keeper had trouble getting it to the half way line. Only good thing we were in the back row of the tallest stand. A very steep sided stand. I was suffering vertigo. I know I asked for a ticket on the half way line (which we were) and didn't mention how far up but ................. Never again. The players looked very small. So lesson learnt. Reminded me years ago of being in the East stand at Hibs but this was worse. Agree BB I think we are safe already. But until mathematically as they say we better not shout too loudly
Sky sources report that West Ham will target Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic if they choose to replace Slaven Bilic this summer.
