The next Barcelona manager

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has lavished praise on Ernesto Valverde, amid reports the Athletic Club Bilbao boss is a potential candidate to replace him at the Nou Camp.

Asked about his opinion on the Athletic Club manager ahead of the Barcelona trip to Bilbao for the first leg of the Copa del Rey last 16 match, Luis Enrique openly said: " Valverde is maybe the manager I've faced the most as a coach. When I was at Celta Vigo I faced him as we opened the new San Mames.
"He's one of best coaches in Spanish football and I really like his ideas. I like his personality and the way he transmits that to his players. You only have to look at the sides he's managed. He's a top coach."
Ask if he was surprised about reports linking Valverde with his job, he added: "It's normal, whether for good or for bad reasons, these rumours are normal."

 

The frontrunner, though, if Luis Enrique doesn't renew and if the club look for an outside appointment, is thought to be Ernesto Valverde.

With the lack of any clear favourite -- it's too soon for someone like Xavi Hernandez and no other former players, for now, spring to mind -- the Athletic Bilbao boss would be well positioned according to Spanish media reports in the last week.
Capable of getting his sides playing exciting football, he's much more pragmatic than Sampaoli. Of the three early names to be mentioned, he's perhaps the most similar to Luis Enrique. The transition, therefore, would be smoother.

Pochettino only just signed a new 5 year contract so if Pochettino would walk away so could Conte.
Barca are a far bigger club than Chelsea so he could well be tempted.

As for Pochettino...think it's the real madrid job he wants...so he'll be off as soon as he is offered that one.

 

Why would Barcelona, a club that could attract any manager in the world barring Simeone and Zidane, go for Pochettino?

I think Spurs fans think too highly of their Chief Bottler.

 

With the way Real are playing at the moment, they may be looking for a new manager too....

 

Other fans have suggested him and he's currently quite high in the betting, you pillock.
I'd suggest that you consider whether you'd comment on speculation about your own manager, but you don't actually have one.
