The most underrated and overrated bands - past and present

Oasis were good in the 90s and had only a few good songs in the 00's. Still a good band to listen to on nights out

Aye I'm not saying they're ****e. I'm saying overrated. I ****ing loved the first two albums but when Be Here Now came out all my mates were still bumming them because we were 12/13 and they just liked Oasis not music. That album and then Standing on the Shoulders just made me not bother with them.

 

be here now and standing are ****e man. bet they wish they cud erase them from folks memories

 

They ****ed me off with those albums. But what annoyed me more was my daft mates still saying they were brilliant just because it was cool to like Oasis. I've never been a scene junkie, ****ing hate folk who'll protest a band are good because they are popular.......

....Arctic ****ING ****EY Monkeys.

I ****ing hate them. They are ****!

 

Guhhhh I hate the Arctic Monkeys. They are ****.... but yet everyone I know is obsessed with them

 

Florescent Adolescents a good song but that's where the buck stops

 

Overrated - Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, U2, Razorshite, Glasvegas

Underrated - Ocean Colour Scene, The Kinks, Doves, Soundtrack of Our Lives, Libertines, Teenage Fanclub

 

teenage fanclub have got to be the worlds underrated band imo. ****ing genius

 

My God Bollo, I've never wanted to bum you as much as I do now

They've had some ****in brilliant tunes and albums.

 

Underrated (these days anyway): The Clash

 

I know they werent "mainstream" but I'd still call them overrated.... Joy Division. Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart are amazing tunes, but they're about the only 2 I can listen to. imo they were much better as New Order after that miserable wee **** topped himself

Aye they're ****ing braw! Bandwagonesque's a ****ing class album. At that point that album was more popular than Nevermind

 

The best Joy Division song by a mile has to be Digital. transmission's a good un anaw!

 

Can't agree TN8.

Transmission, She's Lost Control and No Love Lost are good tunes too. Although they've been marketed as some sort of genius band in recent years.
