Bands come and go but their legacy lives forever. Some bands have a bigger impact but dont always deserve it. Who, in your opinion, are the most overrated and underrated bands both past and present? Discuss
Overrated - Rolling Stones, Queen Underrated - Creed, Limp Bizkit This applies for solo artists aswell
overrated - kaiser chiefs, arctic monkeys, biffy clyro, elbow, scoutin for girls, vampire weekend, wombats, (most of radio 1s playlist)
if anythin the rollin stones are under rated. there ****in quality. lets see how soggy biskit are doin in 30 years
Have to say I think Queen are adequately rated. Those two ****s that aren't too short of bringing Mercury's corpse out on stage just to keep the dead band alive need shot!
Over rated - U2, Simple Minds, Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Pogues, The Wolftones, Fergal Sharkey, The Corrs, The Nolans & Daniel O'Donnell
Nev & Castle Spot on boys. Underrated: Wolfmother, Airborne Toxic Event, The Music, The Cure, The Coral, Pulp Overrated: All the ones Nev said + Oasis
I seen Oasis at Maine Road in Manchester in 1996, with 3 mates (and every one else who was there, ya ****s) and have to say it was the best live gig I've ever been at
TBH Castle I can't disagree with that. The Pogues have a couple of decent songs but the rest are ****E!!
I think Oasis were more than a band but a time. The 1990's onward were ****ing fantastic. Brit Pop was my time and Oasis were right up there with the whole scene. Even though Oasis turned into a bunch of ****s with the odd couple songs they'll always be part of my youth and not part of ned culture
I would say that Abba are fairly underrated. Before people say that they have musicals etc out about them, you never really hear them on the radio anymore and IMO they have some of the best songs of all time. Very addictive. I feel that they dont really get the recognition that they deserve.
