Nothing wrong with being a small club with a small expenditure, if that's what you like fire away! if you feel that two league cups are a good return on 20years of investment.
Personally, I worry about how much the Mrs spends, not my football club. I want my club to win sell not sell the silver to Real. 5 European trophies and counting
The 'big' clubs with the most money win more things. Always been true. Hopefully it won't be long before Spurs get back to their historical place of being in front of Chelsea on all measures
History is yesterday, the day before etc. It's coming up to 20 years since Spurs were ahead of all us on all measures. Even so, you'd have to win a few league titles and a Champions League, which doesn't look like happenin anytime soon in all honesty.
We had won more leagues, more cups, and more European trophies from the dawn of time until right up until 2006! You only caught us on total trophies last year. IE we've been ahead of you for 100 years until recently.
And Liverpool had been ahead of Man Utd on League titles up until recently hadn't they? I don't see your point in all fairness PS.
You have to blame the Spuds for that DL. Their board is so ****ing dull its like a building site full of poles here ffs
All that matters is the here and now. There is no "natural order" like in Spain where Real and Barca have dominated for 50 odd years hence nobody there knows any different unless you are 80+. The number of trophies you win does not dictate whether you are a bigger club than another team. The Premier League as a brand has allowed some clubs to grow exorbitantly at the expense of others. Arsenal were bigger than Spurs pre-1992 but not by that much. Spurs were bigger than Chelsea pre-1992 but again, not by much. The expansion of the game has benefitted Chelsea and Arsenal and they've grown exponentially to the point where they are far bigger clubs than their traditional London rivals Spurs and West Ham. To me, it's just "my dads bigger than yours", all I care about is what happens on the pitch and enjoying football. I'd rather be the better club than the bigger club. Since the change of ownership and Abramovich's huge investment we have dominated London football.
You could understand it if they had any consistency but have only thing that's consistent with Spuds is that they are inconsistent.
