If someone is being stupid I can ignore them.
If a moderator is being a complete arse I cannot.

I come here for football not puerile idiocy. If I want that I can go on extra-time.

 

Notholt is a pain, he needs to be removed as a moderator.

 

Mick you are the administrator can you not do something. I have no problem with his writen comments it is the latest mobile breasts picture I do not wish to see on a football site. If I want that sort of thing I am sure I can find it in other places.

 

Leo looks like you have a job to do!

 

If the moderators were restricted to their own boards, they could set up another account to WUM if they want, but then we could ignore them if we wanted.

 

I am going to take this as an agreement to mod Northolt - Ak - you did not need to go to the Administrator - I can remove his posts here - but I am not going to do so without general consensus that it needs doing - we are not the BBC and so a little more "licence" is allowed. However when it is clear that a number of people find it offensive I am more than happy to act on your request.

 

Oh - and many boards have more than one mod when it gets busy. I tend not to be on much in the evenings so if part of the problem is timing we could request a second moderator. I know Norway was upset by the non-democratic way I was appointed so perhaps if people feel we need another they can also suggest who or put themselves forward. My suggestion would be Norway himself or Hornette as both tend to be late and active - or even NZ if we want "night cover" Ak - I assume this is not for you as you already do so much on here - but if that is an incorrect assumption please say.

I am fine on my tod - but this morning when I saw Ak's banner headline it did occur to me that if posters want "action" when I am not around then a second person would help . Let's leave it for now and see - to be honest this was dealt with pretty well as I am sure Northolt's heart is in the right place - and he withdrew once he was told he was offending some people.

I would not have involved the Administrators personally as I think we were capable of a resolution in house -which is what we achieved. Nice to know you and Norway are both "up for it" though should the need arise Thanks

Hopefully Notholt has taken the feedback on-board regarding pictures, he has certainly removed anything offensive from The Nest. I love a bit of banter with other fans, so lets not be too harsh. But a couple of points;

1. One of the benefits of not606 over 606 is that we are a little more free with opinions, so we should not get too heavy on censorship. I fully agree that great care has to be taken with posting pictures, but we can have a little more freedon in expressing our thoughts.
2. Lenny is right, a board as busy as this should have more than 1 moderator - otherwise, it is the same as having no moderators. Lenny cannot be expected to be on here 24 hours. No, I am not volunteering. I am struggling to even get on here these days, I just have too much at work and have a few issues at home at the moment, so my visits are few and far between.
