    Morning all. Had to go into town this morning and it was market day. Lots of local traders selling charentais melons that are a regional speciality. One elderly gent had his in a tray with a mixed bag of sizes and ripeness, and was selling them at €1 each. A few cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce, clearly picked this morning, so lovely and fresh set out on his trestle table. His competition was different, with boxed items that had come from a wholesaler, much more regular in size, but how long had they been in the boxes?

    Looks like another glorious morning up here - not a cloud in the sky and already 23C. So I'm getting ready for a repeat of yesterday - a walk along the clifftops for a spot of dolphin & whale watching followed by an hour or so in the garden with a book and a pot of coffee. Like yesterday though, rain is forecast for the rest of the day...

    Found this on Twitter earlier - and thought that, if he keeps this up, it won't be long before some bigger clubs come asking...

    Morning all, a dry sunny day is also forecast for rural France today, but hoping for some rain tomorrow.
    Daughter returned from a week in England yesterday. She went with her new left hand drive car and said that it was not a lot different as she was used to driving in the gutter with her right hand drive one here. She was glad to be back as she couldn't believe how cold it was over there, and didn't really take enough warm clothing.

    Morning all, grey and overcast here, but still hoping the forecast rain will begin.

    I have been reading the press reports from around Europe following the latest attack in Barcelona. There is a common theme from left, right and centre, put nationalism aside and co-operate to try and protect the citizens. Several papers point to the political uncertainty in Spain and the UK, and suggest that these situations can put a country at a greater risk.
