    Morning all. A superb warm sunny morning here, just right for a day in the open air. There has been the sound of power tools from across the lane as a neighbour continues to build his summer kitchen. It was started two years ago, then nothing was done last year while he gathered some more money. There is a lot of self-build done here, but it can take a very long time to see a project completed.

    Hello there

    Just want to let my 606 friends know that my mother died yesterday at the grand old age of 95 after a hard week struggling after a major stroke. I was at her side with my wife and sister through to her last breath.

    I will be back on here again as a place of normality over the next few days.

    Both of us are very sad to read your news. My mother reached the same age and also had a stroke, so I know what it is like. We will keep you all in our thoughts as you go through this difficult time. <rose>

    How comforting for her all your family that you (plural ) were able to to be with her at that time. My thoughts are with you as I have also recently suffered a similar loss.

    Super quick post (or I'll get in trouble with Senior Mgmt ;)) to say all is well and I'll try and catch up later. Started new job, more hours but a lot happier. I hope you're all well. Ive got a lot of reading up to do. Our boys will be part of the Guard of Honour at Boreham Wood v Guiseley today after a football tournament there. I'm on sandwich making duty and about to get clouted by Mrs Andy. See you later. :)

    Morning all, not a good start to the day as there is a mizzle in the air. Still some of my early planting should enjoy it. It is that Sunday again when I join with friends for our monthly get together. The advanced viewing of the menu gives me the belief that it will be a good meal. :emoticon-0100-smile
