I had an email from Amazon this morning telling me that there was a problem with my purchase - and asking me to click on a link to log in and confirm my mailing address and bank details. Fortunately I was well aware that I hadn't purchased a Tom-Tom satnav, so logged on in the normal way to check that some other bugger wasn't using my account - no mention in My Orders section thankfully. I replied to the email with a terse massage, along the lines of 'Do you think I'm effing stupid?' & needless to say, it came back as undeliverable.
Injured my knee playing softball yesterday - the same one that was giving me trouble about 6 to 8 weeks ago. I went to see my GP this morning and I've been told to sit out the rest of the season (4 games) and have an MRI scan as a precaution. Hope that it's not something that'll need an operation - I've got an outdoor tournament in Dublin at the end of April.
Morning all, grey and damp here, but not cold. I have a granddaughter who is 12 today, so off to spend some time with her.
Morning all, a change for the better today with the sun shining down. Yesterday was cloudy with rain on and off throughout. Two of the three leading candidates for the role of President are now in trouble with financial irregularities being waved in their direction. It is only six weeks from the first round of voting so we await the news that the two will withdraw. This is like thinking about seeing a TGV train coming up the lane outside my cottage.
Good morning all from a cold and dry, for now, Weston-super-Mare. Lots of rain promised for much of the day! Have a good day!
Scottish Tory party conference in Glasgow appears to be in full swing... I wandered lonely as a Tory That floats on high o'er Brexit's rebuild, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of purple seats, unfilled.
Evening all, been a busy day. Mme has a twenty year old Fiesta that she potters around in, and despite it's age has not yet been 60,000 miles. Today it had to go in for the two yearly Control Technique, (MOT) and despite all seeming well, and looking clean for once, you always wonder before hand if they will find something amiss. The only problem was the handbrake that was fine on one wheel but not on the other. You have two months here to correct any defect, and my garage tell me that it will not be a large bill, so Monday morning it can be sorted. The stations that are around to do the testing are not allowed to do any repair work, so the car gets a good going over without them finding things that hardly need attention.

I´m not surprised you didn´t get the tom tom delivered after that.... Nearly that Friday night feeling, enjoy the weekend all!
I think that a chant at the Vic tomorrow of "Finny's one of our own" is warranted after the run-out of Jason Mohammed in Antigua - a brilliant right foot shot to middle stump!
Good morning all from a cold and dry Weston-super-Mare. Internet issues over the next few days, problems in the exchange! Have a good day!
