the caveman diet definitely works...i've done it..and it's actually pretty easy when you start realising that sugar is the enemy! Yep, the weight falls off. Glad that your wife found her problem triggers Scullion and thanks for the congrats 5 days to go til the run...oh cripes! lol By the way, i read on Twitter that Norway is having his knee op tomorrow...i wish him well and hope it all goes smoothly.
That was cheaper that one of the appointments with our dietician, wish I'd know . Have you still got the details as 1 I am fast running out of hair 2 I would like to stop having migraines 3 Might help Mrs S a bit more too Cheers
http://www.testyourintolerance.com/ Still only £45 too! You'll get back a long list of products - food and non-food - to which you are intolerant & it's simply a case of identifying which are 'prevalent' in your diet & cutting them out.
Didn't word that too well did I? But once you've eaten you may well be using a washing up liquid to which you're intolerant... My son was apparently intolerant to grass - which raised a few eyebrows & questions.
We were in a ski chalet once and the chalet girl knocked over the cleaner and it got in the fruit salad. We thought it a bit odd and eventually commented but most of us had eaten some if not all! She was gracious enough to admit to it when she realised, although I don't think she realised at the time.
thank you Dave!! Exciting to note too that there were 10000 people behind my time! Very happy...the wind was awful, and it was really hard going for the last two miles along the sea front with the wind coming straight at us, but unlike a lot of people around me who gave up and started walking, i kept running til the end! Without the wind, we'd have been under 2 hours, but i'm thrilled with the time! Now we think we'll do a half marathon next! What is wrong with me! lol
Having become a consultant recently, my mum conscripted me into her Slimming World group last week. So having followed their plan for a week I have lost 4.5lbs.
So with Christmas over are the forumites planning anything mad in terms of diet and exercise in 2014? I'm signed up for London to Brighton and need to make sure I don't lose weight during my training which is a pretty good position to be in I suppose though it's actually a lot easier said than done. Good luck with anything you have planned.
Having just returned from holiday where I tended to sample many fine dishes and wines, I discovered that in ten days I had put on half a stone. Last time this happened was when I came over to the UK in October and it took about a month of generous exercise to get rid of it. Having seen this article today, http://www.bbc.com/news/health-27586149 I know it makes sense to dispose of the un-required pounds/kilos, but reading back through this thread I wondered how others are managing with their hopes and promises.
I need to start a new plan to lose some weight, finally booked a holiday and need to get a bit trimmer. Will start with cutting right down on the Carbs - so will mean to stay off the beer and wine for a few weeks! Plus starting a more regular exercise plan - so back to pounding the canal paths!
Don't be overdoing it though guys and gals - my training plan for London - Brighton was going swimmingly but in the space of 6 weeks i've gone from being able to walk 40 miles non stop to barely managing 2 Sure it might have happened anyway but i suspect that doing too much has definitely played a part.
Absolutely Dan - need a plan and stick to it. Gradual build up with lots of small activities between larger one's that grow over time.
haha, good one Dave! i'm still low carbing, it's not going great but i'm fit as a fiddle with all the exercise i'm doing. Now training for a half marathon in October for NSPCC...not sure what i'm on but i'll keep taking it! lol
