About 20 mins. Dunk in water first and it steams the corn.

Do them early and let them cool in the Husk you can peel and serve when ready then.

    Looks cool as well. <cheers>

So far I've procured some chicken thighs, venison steak and pork steaks. Not a lot left on the shelves. Think I will be at Tesco in the morning waiting to be let in to procure the rest of the items.

I make my own charcoal here, it's amazing I was taught by this old Thai guy. Burns really slow too. <ok>

Well I've made potato salad. Jersey royals good mayo, Dijon mustard, Worcester sauce and spring onions.

Going to marinade the belly pork in honey, soy sauce, paprika and molasses over night.

Yep. I've got enough food to feed double the amount of people coming.

Nothing worse than not having enough to go around.

I'm knackered and polishing off a bottle of Macon. Was fun but thank **** they've gone. Will need to run tomorrow if not too hungover.

That sounds like me playing Golf - hit a great shot and then put like a girl and be well short, then put well past, or drive all over the ****ing place and then after 3 chip shots back and forth across bunkers I will then hole a 30 ft for treble or quadruple bogey

Well the day is here. The Mrs is freaking out as my mate has invited a bird round. Which. Ow means my Mrs is frantically cleaning and tidying.

It also means I've been ordered to do a tip run. Got to go to Tesco for more beer as accidentally drank a fair bit yesterday.

Got a dump run to do now, then change the fathers day present for a larger size <yikes> and will top up in the brickettes, lighters, burger rolls and, most importantly, beer while I'm out.

Then I've got a bit of gardening to do before the charcoals get lit this afternoon.

Got burgers, sausages, chicken tandoori, lamb kofta and pork belly.

Just got back from Fathers Day breakfast followed by 2 hours of clothes shopping for my daughter's birthday next week (she was actually born on Fathers Day, so best ever present)
doing a BBQ tonight - mainly salt n chilli marinated meats and koftes, with loads of different Persian style salads (e.g. melon with onions and goats cheese with a balsamic purée dressing yummy)

    Right, I'm ready.

    Made slaw this morning.

Just cracked open my first beer.

Only slight issue is the Mrs got the wrong charcoal. Prefer the briquettes, she got lumpwood stuff.

Just cracked mine too. A German weisbeer.

I've got a mix of brickettes and lumpwood.

The dump run is done, the Christmas tree trimmed (was blocking the front winow, suddenly grew to gargantuan proportions) the lawn mowed, paddling pool filled, Stella Artois parasol erected, tables and chairs out.

    I am good to go.
