I do my own Chicken shaslick - marinaded for at least six hours first.

    With peppers, tomatoes, onions.

Has to be cold beer - especially here.

Equal amounts of yoghurt and ghee, garlic and ginger paste ( I make my own) chili powder ( if required) and a good Tandoori paste or powder.

Roughly chop red and yellow peppers, tomatoes, red onion. ( usually marinade the veggies in olive oil for a while) Skewer the lot up alternating the chicken with the veggies, and BBQ.

We usually have pulao rice with it..and a raita on the side.

(The ghee adds flavour and stops the chicken from drying out in cooking)

I've been to 2 BBQ's in the last 3 days...

First one was at a random fiend of a friends house and they did some great food tbf. Lot's of jerked chicken and fish. Some crispy belly of pork, homemade burgers - also very good selection of booze. I took Stella with me for the ice pool and they gave me a bottle of Mexican Bacardi to drown my sorrows in!

Had my own BBQ yesterday but it wasn't anything fancy as it was a kids party. Just standard burgers and sausages. Had some homemade Dorset cider from a friend though, very nice, but far too strong!

Looking forward to proper BBQ season, and was expecting Luvvy's BBQ thread to appear soon.

I'm also going to be making that Coopers Lager, but I think it's a slightly different to the pale one that Luv pictured.

BBQ's round mine are not a showcase of talent I'm afraid. I invest heavily in the quality of the meat, but I'm not looking at winning any awards.

Steaks (lamb and beef), home made kebab skewers, loads of halloumi, some sorted German Bratwurts and Frikedellen burgers, ribs, loads of chicken wings... but the meat just gets chucked on, none of that prep ****e. Wifey will do a big bowl of pasta with roasted veg and feta and some salad, job done.

Drinks, Gin and cocktails for the ladies and some fizzy crap, I've filled my fridge up for this weekend with Pride & Joy, Shipyard IPA, Amstel and some wine in case the wife invites her homosexual friends over.

Not sure as I haven't ordered it yet. I think it's just the standard Coppers lager <ok>

    Love a BBQ!

Chilli minted lamb kebabs, burgers, sausages, chicken, skew bits and pieces together with cheese, peppers, chilli etc.

Get a massive crate, stock it with ice, throw the beers in. Happy ****ing days.

I'm not too happy about her spending so much time with all these scousers mind... I'm gonna have a word when I get home, if she's there.
