McLeish to Villa would cause riots. Birmingham fans wouldn't be happy and Villa fans wouldn't be happy. It'd be a lose lose for everyone involved including McLeish. It's more likely that his resignation is to take over from someone who is going to Villa ie Moyes or Bruce
It's a well known fact that Englishmen are **** managers so I doubt it Take a look at the current Premier League, all the top clubs are managed by Scots or foreigners. The only half decent team managed by an Englishman is Spurs Taking the recent relegation and promotion into consideration there is currently only 6 English managers in the Premier League, that's including Mick McCarthy who is English but played for Ireland. In comparison there is actually 7 Scottish managers, this is including Owen Coyle who's Scottish but played for Ireland and Alex McLeish who will soon be Aston Villa manager So the argument for saying anyone can do well in Scotland doesn't really stack up too well when you consider most of the Scottish managers doing well in England have also managed in Scotland
