One of my favourite ever players. Always signed him for Southampton (alongside Delvecchio) on FIFA road to world cup '98 them and Le Tiss used to tear the league up.

 

I was watching a local pub sunday league game last year. One player fouled. The ref gave a free kick. The player said "Oh fu** off you c**t". Immediate red card was issued. Balls of steel. Get that in the Prem. Stop all this pushing and shoving and remonstrating. Red card you and you and you. It would stop in a couple of weeks but no!! can;t do that.

 

Little acorns? They are a bankrolled club with less than 2k gates who make 2 million losses each season in the fifth tier! Not something to cheer on I would suggest!

That's not dissent. That is foul and abusive language which is a red card any day of the week.

 

Do you watch Premier league games with your eyes closed? You can lip read every player swearing at the ref for each decision given. Rooney needs one of those blur things over his mouth permanently when they do a close up of him!!

 

Fancy watching 5aside Prem games then?

 

Technically, that's impossible because if a team goes down to less than 8 players they forfeit the match.

If you keep making idle threats to a child when they are naughty they learn the threat means nothing. How long would it take for players, managers to learn that the threat was no idle anymore?

 

At the risk of someone seeing differently to me it doesn't look like an elbow to me. Contacting with elbow doesn't make it intentional and it looks more like he is trying to "feel" for the player and turn at the same time there.

In the modern game I think players are expected to have their arms pinned to their sides at all times and "intent" seems to have taken a back seat in favour of "contact."

 

Too long for them to ever implement the rule that if you swear at the ref you get a straight red, the league would become a joke for too long for them to risk it

 

Can't wait for the retrospective diving thing to hit Spain. The whole country will be suspended within a week!

 

Don't even think that was a dive really, think he just lost his balance while shooting. I think the reason the ref gave it is he is behind the defender and both of the Eibar players hold their hands up in that super guilty "I NEVER TOUCHED HIM" way. Obviously still shouldn't have been given, but like the Suarez one in the CL that some people called a fix, you can sort of see why the ref would give it

 

So why did Alba want it, and why did Suarez scream with his arms waving in the air? It gets worse each time you see it. The refs view is slightly obstructed but if he guessed and gave it because of Eibar players' and Suarez's reactions that is crazy.

 

Some behaviour is innate but the majority is learned.
