With 5 kids and a dog we have outgrown our zafira, making do til it's on its last legs though. Need someone to make a PHEV 7-9 seater, preferably a VW transporter version
The battery technology is improving and there'll be a family car with a 400 mile range on the market within 3 years. Autonomous versions of the same car will follow within 6.
My current Alfa diesel does 0-60 in 9 secs in normal mode; 0-60 in 6.7 in dynamic. Kills the fuel though haha
To be fair, I think we are all wondering whether your alfa could make a 50 mile journey with out breaking down at some point?
Common misconception. Since 2005, Alfa's have had a better reliability record than Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan and Renault. If you want a reliable car these days you buy an Alfa. If you want one that will break down constantly and cost a fortune to fix, you buy German.
Part the trouble with electric cars, and its only part as I can think of loads more, is that they don't sound like a "real" car Can't drive a car that doesn't sound like a car.
Anyone interested there is a video of it on YouTube http://sundown.me.uk/technology/mercedes-aa-class.mp4
If money was no object, I'd have me one of these: https://www.lightningcarcompany.co.uk/Lightning/home.html British made, of all things.
They havent started building them yet. Reckon they wont get the business off the ground. But it does look nice.
That to me looks like the Chinese have had a go at making an F-Type and run out of money half way through so used some old TVR parts from the 90's.
