We had a cup thread before [last season?] and the news that the FA have just sold the overseas TV rights to the FA Cup, from 2018/19 on, has reminded me of that. I've included the League Cup [sorry Qwerty] in the title too. Seemed a reasonable idea.

Ah good. I'm bored enough to be interested in other teams this evening. ;)

Pity the Belgian bloke isn't around for Spurs. They could have had a quaint little coterie of ex-Saints players around the place this evening . As it is, it's almost a roll call.

Arsenal beating Reading & Newcastle 2-0 up now so at least 2 Championship teams in 1/4s.

So who would be your first choice eleven as of now from the below pool of ex-saints of 2012 onwards and the current squad?

    Boruc
    Stek
    Clyne
    Chambers
    Shaw
    Lovren
    Alderweireld
    Schneiderlin
    Cork
    Wanyama
    Lallana
    Puncheon
    Ramirez
    Mane

    4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 Diamond?

Just looking at your list and wondering where we are seriously worse off. BTW, you forgot Rickie and Graziano. Was there a PL reason for that.? ;)

Can you include Ings as well, as an ex? He's also on the bench.

Yes, I noticed he was back from injury, and I nearly thought of including him. Let go too early. ;)

Exactly, all careers are over outside the premier league
I'd definitely have Clyne, Toby and Sadio in our team

Hmm, just Mane for me. All we are lacking is another decent forward, and he most certainly fits that bill. I'd have Graziano back though, just for those fantastic knock downs and beseeching looks at the ref. Besides, St Helen would be in 7th heaven. He's a very rich man these days though so it'll be just good memories from now on. ;)
I'm glad to see Rickie is doing well, though his injury was a bit nasty. But nice to see him scoring and playing again. I'm sure he'll be fine in the long run.
