Went to watch Bristol City v Barnsley today and Jason McCarthy looked completely out of his depth. Was getting destroyed by very average Championship players

Seager was taken off after 60 minutes. Not really a lone striker but he was neat and tidy.

Lost my phone at the ground though :(

Wooooo a win! And even better, I walked around Eastleigh (went to Tescos, I was peckish the station shop was closed) after the match wearing a Portsmouth shirt and carrying a flag and wasn't spat on/called a skate!

Why is the thread titled 1917-18?

Hence my earlier question regarding the status of the Football League during the First World War!

You were probably mistaken for a supporter of the second best team in Hampshire, they were away to Bromley?

Hats off to the lovely receptionist at MK Dons who radioed staff to take me to my seat this morning at 9am, where I found my phone.

Very helpful and not at all condescending to the prick who left his phone on his seat after saturdays game :)

Apologies if I've missed the point - why is this thread 100 years out of date?

We are keeping like that so we can chuckle about it every time we see it. It's good to have something to laugh about.

Feel bad saying this but kind of want Portsmouth to win tonight in the cup. I'd really like to play them in the next round, dampen their high spirits.

Not bad at all. I've been wanting them to win in Cup matches for seasons now.

Posted it on general football thread earlier actually <laugh>

Ah that's a shame. Oh well, up to them to join us in the FA Cup.

Yes it'd be good to play you again, it's been a while since we've beaten you 4-1.

If you can't even beat us when we're in administration, we have no owner and are about 20 places below you in the league table then I don't think there's much hope of that.

Results aside I think I'd rather be where we are than all the way down there ;)
