Rubbish,Bartley has done well but looks a bit suspect without Jansson IMO.

They all work well as a team, hard to pick out anyone special, if there was a team award Green, Ayling, Bartley and Jansson would win hands down and when you add taylor into the mix it is hard to find a better defensive unit.

What was even more impressive about Berardi was he knuckled down and got on with it, he knew Taylor was number one choice at LB he knew we searched high and low for a new RB when we all questioned why when we have Berardi

    *Edit**
Just realised the typo was moans, totally agree <ok>

    a
He's also scary to play against - and that's according to our team, who prefer not to face off to him in training.

Btw, wasn't this another one of those rubbish Cellino signings? Lights blue touchpaper & walks away .... <whistle>

From Canada he is in no position to judge. Ayling has been our best defensive player. Imo

Funny enough, just the other day I was reading an article by or about Nicola Salerno and it reported it was he that found us Berardi...

I'm not in Canada! I was sitting beside you on Saturday! :D

I can't bring myself to agree about Ayling, btw. Started the season with 2 main problems. He had a habit of driving inside, rather than staying on the wing - which he's sorted, I might add. He also has been consistently poor at cutting out crosses. We've lost a few goals through those crosses, sadly. In many ways he's like Byram - better attacking than defending.

I didnt say he was the best defender. I think his overall contribution means he is our best defensive player. By that I mean fullback, centre back and DMs and i am talking about his overall contribution to the teams results. Blokes a beast going forward and decent at the back.

My reply about canada related to that hanger on that claims to be itk all. The way from canada. O'Rourke knows **** all about lufc, that was the post i replied to?

    Not biting.
Nice to have players decent enough to merit such a debate. For a decade poty has been a choice of 1.

Very true. And not trying to hook you, or whatever the term is. I'm genuinely impressed by Green. Only fault I can see with him is fairly minor - every clearance he makes goes straight down the middle. It's clearly been recognised, and nearly blew up in his face a couple of times. But as I said, minor. Deserves the accolade, his place in the team, and a new contract. No doubt about it.
