Michelle is a fairly hard right conservative with I suppose 'hard' being the appropriate word in this discussion. She interrmittently appears on a discussion programme on Sky News (The Pledge) which would not be out of place on Fox News. As you might be aware her main claim to fame is Ultimo and consequently the Ultimo bra was her baby. I suppose she is wearing her product in the delightful and tasteful image which seems to have instilled your desire for some sort of ennoblement (non-exec. or otherwise). She is, I agree, an attractive wench. Now, the Scottish vernacular; she hails from that dirty hole through the west.

It's good to be back home with around fifteen weeks of peace and quit to look forward to before I return to the fray in Koblenz and Koln!

Yes, sadly, it is true that we oldtimers can be very strange at times, very strange: :emoticon-0101-sadsm

(Wonder what RR would think of this caper, Oddy? Not much, I guess!).

P.S. Looking back, how lucky I have been in my 'flying life', God knows how many types of aircraft, and in some weird places too. Very few problems, hardly a bump. Bloody lucky.

Saw this article on F'book; have never heard of this practice before. Have however thrown or 'placed' coins in some very strange places but a jet engine?

No, just that fountain in Italy. Peculiar custom is the padlocks on footbridges to seal eternal love. In the end the authorities have to cut the damn things loose to prevent the bridge from becoming unstable.

Yes, Paris would be correct, and I have seen them in Munich too, on a footbridge where the Isar runs parallel to a man-made canal, or maybe near the place where the excursion rafts finish their journey from Wolfratshausen? Can't remember exactly, no matter. Wondered what the hell the padlocks were there for at the time. They are regularly cut loose.

That reminds me I once again left my combination lock in one of the three hotels I stayed in Krakow; back over to TK Max I suppose!

Always fancied a rafting trip however after an early morning aperitif possibly not the best idea!

On June 9, Venus Williams was involved in a road accident that eventually cost 78 year old Jerome Barson his life. He was the passenger in a car driven by his wife. Williams was not ticketed or arrested for her part in the incident. He lawyer stated on Thursday that Williams entered through a green light and while travelling at about 5mph, was hit by Mrs Barson.

However, a spokesman for the police said the accident was under investigation as witnesses who came forward told investigators that Williams had run a red light. I wonder if Venus is packing it?

Don't really need to go into details, but that Trump fellow is disgusting with some of his tweets, as are those of many of his supporters. :emoticon-0112-wonde

SH; I presume you are alluding to his 'comment' about the appearance of the MSNBC newreader at his 'private' club - Mar-a-Lago.

I have been racking my bourbon addled brain to try to think of another President of The United Sates of America who would make/produce/type such tasteless comment about another human being solely because the recipient does not, or does not seem to, hold political, social and cultural views similar to the instigator of the comment. I am lost!

Probably the saddest thing is that some in the Trump cabinet and a great majority of the Trump core support will be cheering him on!

Yeah, a Trump defender's quote like the one below doesn't hold too much water either.

“The American people elected someone who’s tough, who’s smart and who’s a fighter, and that’s Donald Trump. And I don’t think that’s a surprise to anybody that he fights fire with fire.”
