Semiconductors with chiral geometries at the nanoscale and mesoscale provide a rich materials platform for polarization optics, photocatalysis, and biomimetics. Unlike metallic and organic optical materials, the relationship between the geometry of chiral semiconductors and their chiroptical properties remains, however, vague.

From that standpoint, I believe they do Cyc <ok>

“Sounds of the Sixties” with Tony Blackburn started this morning. Blackburn started with an anecdote about how 50 years ago he drove into London for the first Breakfast show on Radio 1 and the only things on the roads were pigeons – a little bit different to a 2017 drive into the capital.

However, he started his show with the same song that was the first song played on Radio 1 in 1967:

Later in the show he played the first song that he ever played on radio when he started on Radio Caroline in 1964:

QM you may be interested to know that the first voice to be heard on Radio Caroline was that of it's co-founder Christopher Moore. And the first song to hit the airwaves was the Stones' Not Fade Away.

Seen the Stones twice; both times in Germany. The first time was at the football stadium in Frankfurt am Main with my Mum; the second time was in Munich when, within thee nights, I heard the Glimmer Twins and Springsteen!

As the world inches it's way toward the abolition of capital punishment, the Philippines has just voted 216-54-1 to approve the death penalty.

Until today, I'd never heard of Ma Lin. He's the only player to win the singles, doubles and team gold medals in Olympic Table Tennis. Four World Cups as well. He was some athlete.

The good ol' boys in the CIA are welcome to scan/search/review my access and comments on music purchases, heterosexual porn sites, FC Bayern supporter sites, horse racing and other chit-chat sites, BAP & Udo Lindenberg sites and my odd (strange) comments on Facebook.

If it keeps a civil servant in safe, settled and well pensioned employment I am happy.

Only problem could be if the CIA liaise with MI? about my support for Scottish Independence and the SNP!<cheers>:emoticon-0159-music:emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0168-drink:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yes, BK, hope they scan mine, the whole bloody lot of them will land up in Carey Street if they are daft enough to take notice of my horseracing selections. Would serve them right! Mind you, they might start investigating as to who the hell QPR are? <laugh> <cheers>

SH; I see your difficulty on the QPR front. Who knows what sort of stamp/ticket/mark could be put on a MI6 report should the surveillance officer be a Chelsea or Fulham fan!

Dangerous times for those individuals who support football teams outwith their countries of residence.:emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0132-envy::emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0132-envy:

Erm, just a thought, but had the city of Trier declined to accept the statue, then China could have offered it to the city of Kingston-upon-Hull. This would have warmed QMII's heart, for sure...........:emoticon-0100-smile

    http://www.dw.com/en/trier-accepts-controversial-karl-marx-statue-from-china/a-37914051

P.S. Before you suggest it, QMII, not Kingston-upon-Thames, please! The market place was never big enough, and it already has the "Coronation Stone" on which many Saxon kings were crowned including Alfred the Great.

If my memory is not completely shot I seem to recall leaving the Karl Marx museum with some important pamphlets then popping next door to some establishment dabbling in the sex trade! What a day, and I still have my copy of 'Die Internationale Arbeiterassociation; Ihre Grundung, Organisation, politisch-sociale Thatigkeit und Ausbreitung'.
