    2:10-Quiet Appeal-9/2

Cost 35,000 Euros as a Yearling and is a half sister to Prime Delivery who won over this trip as a juvenile. Her Dam raced only once and won over a extended mile in the States.Yard seems pretty strong with Juveniles and can go close here on debut.

    Lady Gorgeous e/w-8/1

The one newcomer i like at a bigger price is the Mick Channon filly. She is a half sister to Kartica who won over a mile at 2 and Tom Sawyer who won over 5f at 2.She was resold for £45,000 this year but yard is in god form at the moment and could grab a place on debut.

    2:40-My Propeller-2/1

Hly Roman Emperor Filly who is a half sister to a 6f winner Bandstand and is out of a mare who won over 5f at 2.Bred to be very speedy and travelled strongly for a long way at Newmarket on debut. This a much weaker race and can land the spoils here.

    Gowran Park

    2:05-Mister First-8/1

Won his only start between the flags when winning a Point To Point by 20 Lengths in May.First start in bumpers ran like a total dog no surprise look who trains him but his Hurdling Debut the last day when 2nd to Eightybarackstreet at Clonmel is decent form and he could go very close here.

    3:35-Zulu Principle e/w 20/1 (NAP)

Ran 3 times on the flat for Dermot Weld and was fitted with Blinkers when winning a maiden at Dundalk last December. Was given a very "easy" ride on hurdling debut last month and being trained by THE SHARK would not be shocked to see him look a totally different horse today if you catch my drift wink wink

With the Royal Ascot meetings behind us, I quite understandably I suppose, felt a little let down by the standard of racing today, so I had a look at the U.S. Sweet Jesus, they have some money over there. At Woodbine in Kansas, a Claiming Maiden holds $34,000 in prize money. As Kansas is just down the road from Prince Edward Island, as the crow flies, (if he had a Rolls Royce Merlin engine wedged in his rear end) I thought our fellow member Islanderpei might nip across and give a a quick run down on the form. <laugh>

Cyclo they have claimers over ther worth 100,000 dollars its crazy when you think about all the furore here about prize money BUT if you look around the world the countrys that have a closed betting system ie hong king,France etc the prize money is always better

Nap please Famous. I thought the effort of Wells Lyrical was amazing last time out. Ridden for dear life here last time, he came away in the run to the post. At about 7-2, he seem pretty good value.

Cyc www.woodbineentertainment.com may help you.The only way to get the form is to subscribe to a service like the Drf or bloodsport.I just go down the local track and purchase the full form guide from DRF for each track i fancy wagering on , only cost $2. each card.
Next weekend is the biggie with alot of Group races and the Queens plate on Sunday.
I agree with Fam that the Tote like betting system tends to make for more money for races at all levels,

Thanks Islander. This week, I'm going to make a point of tracking down as much info as I can on the Queen's Plate on the 26th. $1,000,000 up for grabs.

Cyc time to get the thermol underwear out then, and the heated snow boots. What do you use for heat, wood, oil or electricity.
A lot of money will go on Queens plate kitty, and Oh Canada, just because of their names but both don't have much of a chance really, place positions at best.
Off to work now, talk to you later

Interesting opening race at Gowran Park, the two at the head of the market should fight this out on all known form but at 13/8 and 15/8 I am willing to take a gamble and have a small E.W dabble on Mister First who is open to plenty of progress following a fine first time out effort over hurdles, he was previously a wider margin winner of a p2p on similar ground to what he will be racing on here. Although slightly dissapointing in his only bumper start he did leave that behind on his debut over hurdles as previously mentioned and hopefully he can run a place at least (9-1)
