    I seem to remember someone else mentioning this not long ago, but is anyone else finding that the Chronicle website just doesn't load anymore? I have reasonable broadband speed and all the latest versions of windows and browsers on my comp but the site just seems to make my comp freeze. Every other website loads instantly.

    It's appalling, at least on the football pages. I tried going to the home page and reading other articles and it was fine. I mean, it's got too many adds on it with roll-over pop-ups, etc. but it didn't have the juddering you get on the football pages when you try to scroll up or down. I try to read the footy stories elsewhere now because The Chronicle makes me want to punch my laptop.

    I couldn't work out why that website caused problems when no other website I visit does,

    I get on it incredibly quickly, there again it obviously appreciates I'm the type of pundit they welcome input from....<whistle>

    Those websites load faster than the chronicle though and you need something to keep you entertained while you're waiting.
