Arsenal ARE one of the best teams in the Premier since the beginning because they finish consistently in the top four . Absolutely ,

Plus winning the FA Cup is more noteworthy than a top 4 finish too...so there is no credit to be handed out for finishing 2-4, only first and only FA Cup winners...used to be other way around for many if i recall..but anyway's Roofus, them's the 'official' rules, going forward.

Finishing 2-4 is nothing more than Mutton dressed as Lamb, them teams dont get credit.

    Them's the rules Roofus <ok>

Anyway back on topic Chelsea are still melting down after a 4-2 home win against a good Southampton team.

If you make an impression in the European cup then top 4 is ok.

No point if you are getting smashed out of Europe matchday 5

  10. I see it all going wrong for Conte, next season.

This season has been a false-flag season.

Yeah, I can see Chelsea finishing top 4, but only just.

He'll stab most things provided they are lay-by fare but no doubt the poor lad hasn't thought that will will strengthen the squad further in the summer.

Playing on a big pitch in front of an under capacity Wembley, how will you do next season?

  16. It will be a challenge for Poch and his pride of young lions, of that I am sure the club is well aware. Hopefully, they will get sufficient opportunity to play on the turf, and I hope that Poch is able to work out a strategy to win our home games. We won't be able to play our using pressing game at Wembley, because we'll simply run out of steam. The advantage we will have is that, once a strategy can be formulated, we'll get 19 games in the season to practice it, whereas our opponents will have only the one chance.

Whatever transpires, and provided that the club keeps hold of all of our key players, I see us being more than capable of challenging for top 4 again, and any team that doubts is making the very grave mistake of underestimating us.

As for Chelsea, there are a number of things that come into play when I make the assessment in my previous post.

Firstly, Conte will be in his second season, and no longer an unknown quantity. Opponents will know how he sets his teams up, and they can learn how to counter that.

Secondly, there will be a level of expectation hanging over Conte's head, like the proverbial Sword of Damocles. How will he deal with that pressure?

Thirdly, you have a couple of significant player-issues to resolve, namely Hazard and Costa.

Fourthly, the likes of Arsenal, United, City and 'Pool all have to strengthen. Throw Spurs into the mix, and that's five major rivals that Chelsea will be facing next season, and every season.

The idea that winning the title this season is somehow the start of a guaranteed period of domination at the top of the Prem for Chelsea is simply too far-fetched.

Yet the prospect of finishing second leading to a decade of Spurs dominance is a shoe in <laugh>

<laugh> Pride of young lions. Fuxake.

You do realise Poch only has one way of playing? He's an excellent coach, credit where it's due, but there has never been a plan b with him, so good luck with working out a strategy to win at Wembley.

You better hope the young pussies - sorry, lions - have the stomach for a hell of a lot of running next season.

  19. I don't see any club dominating the Prem, Bodi, certainly not Spurs.

It's going to be a tough period for us, as we adjust to life at our new stadium. However, I look upon our future with a lot more positivity than I used to.

I thought you neutrals would appreciate that metaphor.

    Come, come!

There's no need for that kind of jealousy, here, Archy!
