    I can't. They don't make the right filter for my camera, and I'm not willing to kill my camera without one.

    City is swarming with people. We're one of the best places to see it. Right smack in the middle of the total eclipse zone which means total ecilpse for longer than most other places.

    Yes. Especially if you're zoomed in on it to take a photo of it. The sun in the distance off to the side won't hurt it, but any type of focused magnified shot can fry a camera.

    Granted 6 second exposure is a long time, but any time will cause degradation.

    Eclipse started about 5 mins ago here. Going to take hour and a half to reach total eclipse.

    (Had no idea it took that long... Guess what I've seen on TV in past was sped up footage).

    That would be New Hampshire and Vermont.


    Total eclipse was really cool. It did cool down a lot, dropped to about 28C which made it a lot more pleasant outside. Saw two planets in the sky. Best bit was it looked like sunset in every direction . Orange all around the horizon. Wasn't expecting that.
