    Yes. I've heard that about sneezing... But not about smashing upside down eggs . Although we did occasionally smash the bottom of eggs after doing the top for fun.

    The sneezing comes from the plague and is **** all to do with demons.

    'God bless you' was a phrase uttered by Pope Gregory the Great during a bubonic plague epidemic that took place in the sixth century. As sneezing was one of the symptoms of the plague, it was a way to wish good health on someone.

    I don't know. I find old fashioned superstitions and folk traditions to be fascinating. The more bizarre the better.
