Tonight's wine, drunk with a good rib eye steak in pepper sauce, is Warwick "The First Lady" 2014. A Cabernet Sauvignon from Sainsburys, currently on offer at £9 a bottle. Actually must admit I have just opened a second bottle. I have told the Mrs, am married, that I need the second bottle due to suffering PMT ( pre match tension).

I've really gone off red wine in the last year to two years. Don't enjoy the taste as much and don't like the effect on me. Much prefer whites nowadays.

That said I've got a few beers in tonight for a weekend treat, Theakstons Old Peculier, Guinness W Indies Porter and Golden Ale and a Shipyard IPA and have just eaten a massive plate of steak with udon noodles, wok cooked in teriyaki sauce. A red would probably pair well with that
