Some say that he spent some time on Dartmoor and now has the nickname of Fletch. A new poster appeared on here for the first time a couple of weeks ago with the name Spare Key but I don't know................. I hope Heaton signs for you. A good deal for the club and player.
CCR if you get Heaton it'll be the bargain of the season. Not too much between him and Marshall. I just hope Joe Lewis is better and up for the challenge. What's happened to Calamity James?
eh? we talking about the same heaton? pretty average player if you ask me, could do a job for a decent championship team but 'bargain of the season' i think your going a bit overboard with that tbh...
No worries Swamp, I think he's a good keeper and from a Brizzle point of view I think he will be a bargain. Still don't understand us getting Lewis tbh.
Sounds like Heaton is about to put pen to paper, so a decent keeper on a free is good business for us. Calamity was only on a season long deal and did'nt get an offer from us at the end of last season so is currently club-less (some would say clue-less!), although I think your correct that he is with Exeter at the moment.
Looks like Snodgrass is going to Norwich for £2.5m (some reports say £1.5m). I thought Papa Smurf wanted no less than £8m. Leeds fans are far from chuffed over that. Oh dear, what a pity, I am sad.
OH deary me......poor poor Leeds fans! Looks like Heaton is signing today according to BBC Brizzle this morning, must say, they are usualy right in all fairness. Nice freebee if it happens!
CCR - I see you are also getting Paul Anderson (ex-Swansea) on a Bosman from Forest. (According to Daily Mail). He will be assured of a warm reception at CCS.
from Twitter Cardiff City closing in on QPR striker Heidur Helguson. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2182326/Heidar-Helguson-set-Cardiff.html#ixzz22KlO0LOw
Well he did well enough at this level H, but I would have a slight concern about his age. That said, perhaps he won't have to go charging around like Miller had to. I guess it depends on who would be around him. That welsh chap that plays for Liverpool would be good.
hmm, gives us something different I suppose. Not sure how many games MM would want out of him or if it's to allow the option of 442 over 451. It may just be a bit of padding to the squad. We do need a striker. Add another winger or two and we'll be there or there abouts. As you say cling, that young lad from Liverpool would be an option. Might be a bit of a risk given his inexperience, but hey, what the hell. I wonder what shirt number he'd wear. 39 is free!
Rumours gathering pace again that that young lad from Liverpool is on his way with a payoff from Liverpool, cannot remember the source as I was reading a fair few, but he apparently has a bad case of cardiffitis
given he'll be in Cardiff with the GB team until at least Saturday he should pop in to the CCS for a medical just on the off chance.
Helguson would be a squad player. A useful guy to have around who Malky knows well with his experience and 1 goal per 3 games record. Not that big at 5 ft 10 ins but puts himself around and unsettles defenders. No fee, just wages and okay if a 12 month contract. Pay as you play would be better though. There are better players out there but Malky has a budget and has probably spent £6m so far plus wages. If Bellers comes we don't know what the financial arrangments will be in terms of fee and wages so Helguson is probably a low cost option to strengthen the squad as a whole.
Bad luck, we got him Norwich have been after Snodgrass for nearly 2 years and many of us were not sure if Hughton would want him as much as Lambert did but it appears he did. Will be interesting to see how the old Leeds L1 midfield copes against the PL teams now we have nicked most of them for next to nothing (relative terms obviously)
I would think he has got at least 1 more year in him. He did well at the start of last season, scoring quite a number of goals for a team that were pretty awful for most of that time
