Good Morning Everyone Leeds are interested in signing Wendies forward Fernando Forestieri!!! You'll recall before the Owls got their grubby little talons on him, we were after him, but he opted for South, not West Yorkshire. The Owls have just about as many forwards that Leeds have midfielders (4364 last count), and you never know, if the price is right, may sell the 27 yo hitman Thoughts? If we are after Forestieri, then why are we about to sign Caleb Ekuban? The 23 year old has lightening pace, certain to scare the hardened of defenders. Is is due to undertake a medical before the players fly out on Friday to Germany. Saiz finally undergoes his medical today at Thorp Arch. Like me, if you don't know too much about the lad, here are some clips:-
My understanding is that Ekuban & Siaez will have a medical today. This gives us a cracking talent in the creativity midfield department, who scores goals and is a penalty and dead ball specialist. Ito see how that works with Wood. Also a potentially great striker with pace and seems to finish off chances without being flash. Alioski could be joining yet? If those 2 sign we can say goodbye to Antonnson, Erwin. I think Tommy will use a 4-4-2 formation with Roofe as a striker option. Midfield will be culled this week as we offload some, but unless we are keeping Bellusci I want to see our plans at the back with a Bartley replacement
Morning Doc, exciting times. I thought TC was just going to add to our squad, but it looks like he is starting from scratch. I didn't feel we were that far away from success last term, perhaps three quality players short
We lacked bottle at big moments last season and why we finished 7th. Viera & Sako are kids and need another season. We never used 4-4-2 so struggled to find a route to Wood enough with Dallas, Roofe, Duke all playing bit parts and Antonnson nowhere. So there are at least 3 players of the 4 that need moving on. I think we are bringing in skillful potentially huge players who will replace them & give us more options. We could find that by Friday we have signed 5 players this week alone.
Ekuban has pace and looks strong, we better hope his raw talent exceeds what looks like a thin record to date. Goals in Albania don't necessarily equate to goals in the champ! All signings are punts but this one seems an outside bet. Saiz is a 10, forestieri would be a surprise... direct competition - looks like they share the belief that pablo doesn't have the legs for a season (or could be on his way). Alioski is a lefty, a converted left back, I can see how he'd add balance to the squad... and he looked like a player on YouTube! I presume it's him or Kent not both. Some defenders would be nice!
Milky we are still chasing The Borthwick-Jackson kid from Man Utd he's also a left back. This deal has been on going for weeks now and theres also an outright buy option on the table.
Not really interested in Forestieri, had his chance and blew it.Hernandes should help the new Spanish guys settle quicker,so has to stay.Morning All
Morning all. Am also surprised with numbers of signings. However, while Elland feels we were close last season and maybe only three players short, we were 18 points short of autos which is a huge gap considering we had a striker that notched up 30 goals. Autos have to be the target and not the playoff lottery so maybe all these changes and more are necessary
The squad wasn't big enough, with quality back up last season,2 defenders will see me very happy with what we have this season.

yeh, hard to know what to make of him... good enough for man u... not good enough for wolves. Is he a left back or a future centre half. Last time we bought a prospect from them who was a full back/centre half.... it was scott wootton. Let's hope this ones a cut above if he comes!!
morning ... Saiz is a quality signing, should be a hit in the Championship ... Ekuban looks like another Yeboah ... things are shaping up nicely now, and we all saw midfield as a weak area last season, but not anymore ... I would expect defenders to be added before the window shuts Wolves are really gambling this season ... appointing the former Porto manager will have cost at least £50k p/w in salary, and they have just spent £15.8m on a Porto player ... they have also loaned another Porto lad who is on £30k plus per week, so the money is flowing at Molinuex but it doesn't guarantee a thing I am a lot happier with our signings than with the Wolves approach ... this Championship shows a total disregard for reputations, and Wolves will be under pressure from game one to win promotion ... they are going for instant success, Radz is building for the future ... Boro will struggle this season as well if they don't get off to a flyer ... their Chairman has stated that their goal is to WIN the Championship, well good luck there really is a superb buzz around Leeds now, and things are seriously on the up ... let the good times roll Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I watched Saiz.s profile vid, I like the look of this player. He has various skills in all departments and is quite happy to take on and go around players, and he's an attacking mid with pace, a good one it seems as well, can shoot long or short shots, can score goals and knows when to pass......there is a God......good move Don... Ekuban, if he passes his medical, I suspect he'll make Wood redundant if Wood doesn't leave. Ekuban looks a pacey striker who can shoot from just about anywhere and isn't afraid of taking long shots, seems to know how to get away from his markers too. Klich and Saiz may well get the nod to start the season's opening games, how they all handle championship football remains to be seen but, with these two on form looks like we might not be getting bossed in midfield at last, as well as adding strike force upfront. The Cobras head is coming alive. Klich is a CM and a AM, nice he can be used for both if need be, or he uses both during a match. Saiz it seems can play and attack from both flanks, as well as make accurate passes, shoot and score goals.........I'm actually excited about our midfield for a change, it's been awhile coming. Alioski is a winger who apparently can play both sides despite being a left footer, seems to have pace, determination, and knows where the goal is, could be a good signing for us if or when he comes. Alioski could make Dallas and/or Sako a bench warmer. Having watched vids on the above players, everything seems to be exciting, and some players may have their noses pushed out of joint, whatever happens, looks like we're moving into the Leeds United next phase, which is up of course......now I can't wait for season to start.....
They thin k a lot of him at OT and was their player of the season. Some of these kids need confidence outside of their own academy cliques some find it tough to settle. Some set the world on fire like Bamford then dry up. If the kids a bit of a utility player he will be great for us. He is much faster than Taylor down the flank as well
Morning all Hopefully if we are signing Forestri from Wednesday are we finally going to see the back of Doukara. I still believes he needs to be given the boot. I'd also give Erwin the boot as well. On the midfield abundance issue, get rid of Dave if what happened at the start of last season is true as he made an issue of Viera being played then he can **** off cos Viera is a better player. I wouldn't be surprised if the Phillips to actually goes through as well. On to the defence...... From what I believe we've got about 4 players we're interested in and all British. We got the 2 from Wolves, the kid from Scum and Pennington from Everton.
Villa, Birmingham, Forest, Leeds, Midds, Sunderland, Hull, Derby, Reading, Cardiff, Fulham, QPR, Norwich, Wendies, Wolves. = 15 teams who are investing and have a chance. 7 of those clubs on parachute payments. To get out a club must invest plus have a good manager without both the best clubs can do is survive mid table like Leeds. I hope Radz is investing wisely & Tommy is a class act.
Some of the signings are adding excitement Doc, and look like they can add quality and class to our team, but, with everything done and said, it all comes down to how TC manages his players, and the team as a whole. TC made his profiles of all the leeds players, which seems to be part of why he's bringing in the players he is, now, it's up to him.....
Villa and Sunderland will get Auto Boro,Fulham,Wendies Norwich,Wolves Hull, Derby, Reading will fight it out for the playoffs outside bet for playoffs Sheff Utd Relegation 3 from Burton,Bolton,Ipswich,Leeds, Br City,Barnsley
